"Il Castagnolo was the perfect quick Tuscan stay for our family. The accommodations are pleasant and comfortable. The pool is cold and overlooks the beautiful countryside, and it’s a very quick ride into San Gimignano town as well as surrounding Tuscan vineyards."

Hotel Leon Bianco
10/10 Excellent
"Very beautiful spot in the heart of San Gimignano. Room was clean with all comforts. Staff has been very friendly and accommodating. To get here was a challenge and a bit difficult (use Google maps - Waze wouldn’t get us here) but it’s a lovely place to stay. "
Villa with pool, 4 rooms en suite, WiFi A/C, walking distance from San Gimignano
10/10 Excellent
"The villa was very well-maintained and provisioned. We were provided with a great list of local resources many of which we took advantage of and were very pleased with. We had a private chef and sommelier come and provide lunch for us one day and the villa accommodated the event perfectly. The villa provided perfect sleeping arrangement for our varied group of 7. It was convenient to have a washer/dryer and bathroom on the main floor. One possible improvement would be to provide better instruction on how to use the washer and dryer. They both took a LONG time to complete their cycles and I'm not sure that we ever were using them correctly. There were many locations were we could congregate as a group or get away if any of us needed some alone time. We used the pool every afternoon and loved it given the hot humid weather while we were there. There were beautiful views of San Gimignano from the villa and although it was walkable, it was uphill all the way and pretty tough for some of us, given the 90, humid weather.Alessandro was a gracious host! Very pleasant and responsive to our needs. We were provided with a thorough orientation to the property and how things worked upon our arrival. All told, this was a beautiful place to stay, beautifully maintained, accommodated our needs perfectly and was overseen by a wonderful host.We highly recommend Villa la Porticciola to anyone looking for a villa in Tuscany and the San Gimignano area!"
"Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Buonaccorsi is in an amazing location near the center of town. Quick walks to panoramic locations, restaurants and shops. Our hostess, Marzia, allowed us to store our bags while we waited for check in time to approach. She provided us with a map and many recommendations for dining upon check in and pointed out locations to take pictures. The hotel has a hidden patio to enjoy some wine and just relax in the evenings. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. Marzia and her crew delighted us with an amazing breakfast spread of various fresh cheeses, bread, fruit and cereal. As well as many Italian coffee options. "
"Wonderful single room with balcony. Great breakfast, polite and friendly staff, and a breakfast room with the most amazing views. Would definitely stay here again. "
"We loved our stay. The hotel had really nice breakfasts included and the pool was fantastic after a hot day walking around the old city. We had a standard room and we were expecting it to be small. It was very small - it was difficult to find space for our cases and the shower was so small that it was hard to use it without banging your elbows. The room did include a nice outdoor balcony which made up for the super small room. The hotel was an easy walk into the old city."
