Ouachita National Forest & Kiamichi River Retreat w/ POOL

Relax and recharge with the whole family or group of friends in a recently remodeled 2400 sq. ft. riverfront home with oversize garage & pool (in warm weather). Our property is located in a gated neighborhood & is fully equipped on 18 acres for your short or long term stay-ATV trail riding, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, wildlife watching on our acreage (see boundary map). Located between the Kiamichi River (access on property) & Simmons Mountains. Ride-in access to national forest trails in the area. *Please note this is a year round river but levels will fluctuate due to seasonal or weather conditions. *Pool is winterized in cooler months. Reliable Starlink internet on site!

ATV Riding Trip

The property was great for what we needed. The host was very prompt with his replies on any questions we had prior to our trip. The K trail access was right down the road & easy access from the cabin. Billy Creek trails was a short drive from the cabin. I would recommend the cabin to anyone.

Beautiful location, lots to do

We loved the location nestled in rolling hills. The location was clean and the owner was responsive. The river was dry, but lounging in the pool beneath the tall trees listening to cicadas more than made up for it.

Beautiful retreat

We loved staying here. There was always something for us to do even if weather didn’t cooperate. We hope to return next summer. Very peaceful and quiet. It was stocked with everything we needed for a good time.

Summer vacay

Great getaway. We wanted to avoid the crowds and enjoy nature, and that is what this trip provided. We went on a ATV adventure in Arkansas that was a blast.

So this place is better than described. Just breathtaking and spacious!! Wished the pool was warmer , however kids did do polar plunge!!!! Was sad we only booked for 2 nights! This would truly be a great extended stay rental!!

Fabulous Place To Visit

This was our family first mini vacation and the house was absolutely beautiful. The land was amazing and fun for the kids, even though it rained we still went to the lake nearby, and he had so many games for us to play, the only thing I dislike was that it wasn't no signal but other than that, it was fun

Quiet Beauty

Very nice home with a pool for the kids. Beautiful views, plenty of space and outdoor living. In a valley between mountain ranges you can see from front porch. The Kiamichi river behind the house was dry but the pool was exceptional. 5+

Peaceful getaway

Nice area, very quiet, comfy beds. Views were beautiful. Plenty of games on hand and books if wanted. Better signal would have been nice but that's the trade-off for the seclusion and maybe we need a break from that anyway. And as fellow Texans we enjoyed the decor!

Restful weekend

Very nice place,and a great pool. Seen deer everyday in the field across from the house. The only thing was the creek behind the house was dried up. However, did take some good pictures. Would stay there again.

Great getaway location

This house is a great get away. Lots of space in the bedrooms. The deck had lots of seating. We were able to grill a few meals. The pool was very clean and a great size. The deck and pool overlooked the river. I do not believe a car even drove by while we were there. It was a perfect place to relax and get away from our daily lives.

Business Outing

We rent this property one a quarter for a manager outing and I bring the team out for the weekend. Property owner is top notch as is his home. Amazing Property, Quiet and Cozy

We had an incredible stay at this property in the Ouachita National Forest! The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature. The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We spent our days swimming in the pool and the evenings grilling out on the deck and taking in the beautiful forest views. The grill was in great condition, and we had everything we needed for a delicious BBQ. Fishing was another highlight of our trip. The nearby fishing spots were fantastic, and we managed to catch quite a few! It was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back and enjoy more time in this beautiful forest retreat. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and fun-filled escape!

Overall good!

The property was great. The grill needs to be replaced as it would not get hot enough to cook we ended up borrowing one from a friend whom has property down there. We blew a breaker in the kitchen for the microwave and finally located the breaker box behind a pic after a good bit of searching. With that said overall it was a great trip.

Delightful Seclusion

We had 6 adults and 4 kids, plus dogs. It was a wonderful place. The bedrooms are HUGE. With so many of us, it was amazing how fast the hot water replenished itself at bath time. The kids (and adults) loved the jacuzzi bath in the master. The deck and pool were perfect for our needs. The deck porch swing was a favorite of us all. We loved how private it was. We stargazed, explored and played in the creek, walked the private country road, barbequed on the grill, and just sat under the fan on the covered deck watching nature. Although it is about 45 minutes away, we went to the Maze and the Petting Zoo in Hochatown. Both are a lot of fun for the kids. The drive there is delightful. We walked several trails and even went to Beaver Bend State Park one day. I would highly recommend this rental. The owners were most kind and helpful, too. A+++++

Perfect getaway!

We had such a fun weekend disconnecting and enjoying the gorgeous views. The pool was perfect to enjoy the warm weather. A little bummed out that the river was dried out but still a gorgeous scenery. Don’t expect to have a good signal/reception out there! But it was just what we needed. The rooms are way bigger than we expected and comfortably fit our large family! Absolutely loved this stay and look forward to staying again!

Relaxing base

The property was clean and very comfortable. It served as a great base for hiking various trails in eastern OK/Western AR. The setting was beautiful and the deck was a great place to hang out in the evening and early morning. Don't miss the chance to walk out into the field at night and be amazed at the stars. Absolutely gorgeous! As stated by others streaming, sometimes hits delays but it does work and we didn't choose this place to sit inside and watch TV anyway...
