About this property

Countryside Retreat: A remodeled 1800’s artist cottage on the lake

  • A 2-bedroom lakeside cabin just 10min from Lahti and 1.5h from Helsinki airport.
    It offers peace and privacy on a large property with a big yard, trampoline, and unique sculpture garden. Explore the surrounding countryside and nearby hiking and skiing trails and then return home to a warm sauna and swimming right from the dock. Inside you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen, comfy living area, and warm atmosphere. alike. Come experience Finnish lakeside living -close to Lahti, but a world away. We are located across from Messilä camping and skiing. From Messilä you can access ski, biking, and hiking trails. The cabin you are renting is connected by a hallway with a door to another house (pic per request) that was built in the 1960s. We currently live there.

    There’s also a row boat and kayak you are welcome to take out.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem Haus. Es liegt sehr idyllisch, ist stilvoll eingerichtet, es ist alles da, was man braucht. Der Platz am See ist ebenfalls wunderschön, man ist ganz für sich und kann die Ruhe genießen. Wir können dieses Haus ohne Vorbehalte weiterempfehlen.
