"Unfortunately I am not a gambler but was in town for a nearby golf event and the Hotel and amenities were simply wonderful. Stayed in a newly renovated tower room, which was tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable… All the hotel staff encountered were very helpful and professional in their approach. Would definitely recommend to my gambling friends and others…"

"Nice quiet room with a wooded view and a nice carport, and working Wifi. SImple amenities in town, but the grocery was well stocked seeing as there was a grill with each unit and a bigger than mini fridge. Would recommend if you want an off the main drag and less commercialized experience."

"The cabin is very private on a pond. The lighting options are excellent everywhere inside. We enjoyed the screened in porch every day in the morning and often in the evening. The whole place was cozy and well thought out. The recliners were a great place to relax in the evening. The kitchen was equipped with enough plates, utensils, pans, etc. to prepare all of our meals. We cooked chicken for the week on the very functional and maintained gas grill.Everything was exceptionally clean and very well taken care of.One morning on the way to class at the Folk School, a tree was down across the road. We contacted the owner, and they were out there in 15 minutes and had it cleared out very quickly.The 10 minute drive to the Folk School made this a great place to stay while taking a class there.We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area."

"We had a great time at Laurel Escape. Everything was clean and the location was good. We enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch. The bed was comfortable. And it was really nice being able to do our laundry here. We did not try out the hot tub, so we can't really say anything about that. Communication with the host, Vernonica, was great."
