Rideout's Hideout - Easy Beach Access - Sound Views - Family & Pet Friendly

  • Note: Linens are NOT provided (Call Sweet Dreams Linens for rentals or bring your own)
    Ride out to the “Hideout” for a budget-friendly stay with your canine companion. The invitingly updated living, dining and kitchen areas welcome you to relax as you take in the beach and sound views.

    The cottage inspired bedrooms each offer their own appeal. Sit out on the open wrap-around deck and enjoy the splendor of the sea, sun and sound. The public beach access is just a short walk away in sight of the house.

Rules

Do not pour any grease whatsoever down the sink. We are on a septic tank and they are very sensitive. This could also cause a backup into the house.
Do not set the Air Conditioning below 70 degrees because the unit will freeze up and shut off. The renter will be responsible for calls to HVAC tech.
Do not use the grill under the house, please grill in front of the house in order to avoid a house fire. Do not ever place the grill on the deck.

Dog friendly home

Clean, convenient, easy beach access. The beach is not crowded and those on the beachwere very friendly. Kitchen, furniture, parking, and everything else was just great!

Great family beach getaway!

We love staying at this property - this was our third year! Family and pet friendly and close to the beach. Our daughter is college-aged, but this property would also be great for a family with younger children. No issues, just a great week!

Wonderful Beach Trip

A really great beach house! It had everything we needed and was close to the beach. The outdoor shower was probably the nicest we’ve had. Very easy for showering off sandy kids. The gated deck was really nice for our dogs. Looking forward to our next trip.

Best at the beach

My family had an amazing stay. The place was just as described with the right amount of space plus some for a family of five. The beach was super convenient and walkable and the outdoor showers were refreshing and kept the sand out of the house. Games and bunk beds were a hit for the kids. We will definitely be back!

Great, easy spot for a small - midsize group

Stayed here with a few family members this past weekend. Weather was amazing, Rideout's Hideout was a great, easy spot for a small - midsize group. We didn't stay here as much during the days as our extended family rented another, bigger place nearby. We mainly just slept here. Slept well though, and public beach access is practically right there. Thanks again!!

Great location, wonderful place for us and pups

We are repeat renters and plan to return next year as well. This is the perfect size for me and my husband and pups although it could comfortably fit more. Great location, close enough to public access without having people walking by all the time. It is a well-loved place which we are fine with, we are looking for comfort not perfection. The owners are very responsive / easy to communicate with.

Still my fav

It’s so hard to find a nice, small place to stay so close to my favorite beach. This house suits me and my pup (& my sis when she can) perfectly. Not fancy (though recent updates have been welcomed), it is VERy comfortable. It’s clean, well maintained, and at reasonable cost for one or two retired people. I’ll go back as often as I can.

Good Location

Good spot right behind the sea vista motel which is beachfront on south end of the island, which is less crowded. You can see the ocean on both sides of the motel from the spacious deck. 2 outside showers with good pressure and temp. House is small 1.5 baths 3bd but worked well for 5 of us. Bring linen, towels, paper towels/TP, all toiletries. Everything else there. Would return.

Great beach access! The house was very clean and comfortable. We loved the space including the deck, outdoor space and outdoor showers. The area is perfect for a week of rest and relaxation. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely book this property again.

Great stay at Rideout's Hideout! The house is well kept and worked out great for our family. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of pots and pans and utensils, which we appreciate as we cook a lot of meals for ourselves on vacation. The huge front porch was a nice place to hang, especially in the afternoons once the shade came in. The walk to the beach is super easy to make. Thanks for a great week!
