Plas - sleeps 10 guests in 5 bedrooms
A Grade II-listed getaway, Plas has a long history as a private household reaching back to the 1700s. Rich with fascinating features, the trellised stone balcony, tower and a red dragon finial each add intrigue and character. Aside from the inspiring architecture, beach and mountain views beckon from behind stained glass mullioned windows. A choice of cosy snugs and sprawling social spaces - each warmed by wood-burning stoves - make this the ultimate Anglesey accommodation for a large group trip.
Ground floor
Kitchen A light and bright kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. There is a large range cooker for family feasts while a dishwasher takes care of the clean up. The other essentials such as a kettle, toaster and microwave are easily found on the worktop. Be sure to pause during your prep to admire the scenery through charming sash windows.
Utility Room Across the hall from the kitchen, a spacious utility houses a washing machine, additional dishwasher, freezer, 6ft fridge and additional WC.
Living Room A large living room is the ultimate social space beneath beautiful wooden beams, complete with a dining table big enough to seat all ten of you and an adjacent sitting area surrounding the wood-burning stove. There's also a speaker and a selection of books for your entertainment.
Reading Room The reading room is a cosy, calming nook complete with two sofas, an armchair, a logburner and a collection of historic books. Allow yourself to be distracted by the wild Welsh views beyond the French doors.
Snug Room Off the kitchen, a snug room has a Smart TV and a choice of comfortable seats. Gather around the coffee table for boardgames.
Bedroom 1- Ensuite A comfortable downstairs double bedroom boasts patio doors onto the lawn and the convenience of a private ensuite with walk-in shower, WC and basin.
WCs There are two WCs on the ground floor, one off the utility room by the kitchen, and another by the front door.

Family Bathroom A large shared bathroom with a free standing bath, separate shower WC and basin. Outside Ample parking for 4-5 cars. Plas enjoys a spacious walled garden off to the side of the property, perfect for an afternoon of cricket or football. In front of the house the the lawn enjoys wonderful news of Rhoscolyn and beyond, which are perhaps best enjoyed from beneath the loggia, sundowner in hand. Caution should be taken with some low walls and drops. The Local Area Sat on a private laneway above Rhoscoyn Beach (Borth Wen), Plas is perfectly placed for scenic coastal walks (the Anglesey Coastal Path runs across the bottom of the lane) and trips to a classic country pub. The White Eagle is within walking distance, and was a favoured haunt of Prince William during his time on the island. Just a short drive away, Trearddur Bay beckons with a few foodie hotspots including The Stores, while Rhosneigr is the place to go for a bustling town with watersports on tap and cafe culture.

The photos in the listing doesn't do justice to either the location or the property, both were much better than expected. The house had lots of quirky spaces, plenty of room for our children and grandchildren to enjoy

Our family Christmas
What a find!
We have had a great time celebrating our pre Christmassy Christmas with our family. Plas was perfect, comfortable, spacious and inviting.
Lots of room for everyone to spread out and not feel like you are under each other’s feet.
Points for thought:
We only spent the weekend any longer and we would have needed to sort the heating as it was too hot upstairs at night.
Putting a sofa bed in the first lounge would’ve been good for our group so that the teens could have had their own space.
A dog waste bin available.
The option for a TV in at least one other room.
My place mats to protect the table.
The carpet is starting to come away in places which could cause a trip hazard for some.
Option to buy logs prior to arrival, we brought but still had to buy more.
Better signage as it looks like you drive into a field.
Plus points
Well kitted out kitchen but some of the trays did not fit the oven!!
Nice welcome pack.
Lovely external grounds especially for the dogs and kids.
Comfortable beds, tidy bedrooms, clean and fresh bathrooms, spacious and welcoming downstairs rooms.
Bit of a maze inside but great for exploring and possibly hide and seek.
Imposing and slightly eerie external look with a warm heart.

Such a special place
We had such a lovely stay at Plas! The location is stunning and so peaceful.
The house is warm cosy and really well equipped tho would benefit from better lighting outside in winter. I may be on my own but when you have a long stay having access to a vac would also be good - minor details but worth mentioning
Would highly recommend the house its really special and Oyster Holiday Cottages - brilliant communication at all times
Thank you
