"The little town about 2km outside of Forbach was a peaceful and pleasant area. Manfred was a great host who was there to greet us and show us the apartment. A lovely spot on the lower level with just two steps to get in. The kitchen was well equipped. Great recommendations from our host who also got us a train/bus pass for the area to use if we wanted it. Manfred also showed up a hour after we got settled and presented us with eggs from his chickens. The local store was well stocked with everything we needed. Everything was within walking distance. The area is also a major place to hike the Black Forest and you could either walk to one of the many trails or drive to convenient parking places for different starting points. It was a great start to our European adventure.
If we are ever fortunate enough to be in the area again we would definitely look at booking again. It felt like a home away from home
