"This is a small, sweet, comfortable cottage, and was just perfect for our brief getaway from the hurly-burly. The house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, so cooking the local seafood was easy. The decor (loved the faux fireplace) was charming and welcoming, down to the live Poinsettia plant on the table when we got there. "

"A wonderful long weekend getaway on Hoopers Island--close to the bay and to the attractions of the island. Laura is a great host who ensured we had everything we needed for our stay--a roomy house with a great screened in gazebo and plenty of activities for our elementary school aged kids. "As a family, we have stayed at a variety of VRBOs over the years - some nicer than others. But what they all had in common was that they were clean and welcoming. Unfortunately, that was not the case with this property. From the leftover food in the fridge, the used coffee grounds in the coffee maker, the half-drunk beer on the dresser, the questionably clean dishes piled high in the drying rack, the one bath towel thrown on the back of the bathroom door like it had just been used, and the dead...
