"Lovely cottage. The wood burning stove was much appreciated by all including our black Labrador! The central heating was very efficient once we’d found the boiler controls (in one of the twin rooms) Host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed but wasn’t at all intrusive. Beds very comfortable ! Can recommend the Scotsman’s Pack inn who (with some advance notice) catered for 42 of us for the Birthday meal !"

"Great location on a working farm very friendly, nice and clean with a view of the hill sides , we stayed in Daisy cottage it was all on one level with a disabled access shower which was great , near by walks taking in the beauty of the peak district national park, local pubs for great food, we would definitely return ."

"Very well equipped and tastefully decorated cottage with amazing views over the reservoir and Holme valley. Local walks and places to eat are convenient. Only one thing wasn’t quite perfect. The key safe is near the ground and hard to access for those of us who aren’t as mobile as we used to be. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay."

"6 adults (2 at 20) & dogs , one little & one medium . The cottage was better than expected , the pictures online are good but it’s even better when you are there . Really nice village & the local pub was great , we went twice and ate one night , food was delicious. It takes just 5 mins walk to the pub . Right next to a park and the river 3 mins walk ."

Attention to detail, lots of thought gone into making it completely dog friendly and secure, just gutted the weather only permitted us one dog field visit! "We spent a week at Law Brook Farm Cottage and we had a lovely stay. The views across Yorkshire from the main window are amazing. The cottage is very well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The shower is great. As the weather was not kind to us, we benefited from the log burner in the evenings and so felt cosy and warm. "Lovely small cottage. Just the job for a short stay in the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage was easy to find but we did have some difficulty accessing the rear of the property. It is very narrow and the parking space is very tight. The property is very quaint and has everything you would need for a short stay. Very clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was with the outside area. The steps leading down to the property at the rear are very steep and would be difficult when wet with no hand...
