"We stayed for two nights and had a lovely, peaceful time. The food was delicious, prepared by Joyce, and we got a ton of advice and insight about the area and Ireland in general from Aidan. They were very friendly and welcoming, and the house and grounds are gorgeous and steeped in Irish history. If we ever come back to Tuam, we'd happily stay again!"

"Lisdonagh House is a beautiful property, rich in character. The estate sits in a gorgeous setting overlooking a lake and horse filled pastures. It was a nice option for family getaway. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful in making our stay so nice. Highly recommend using a private chef for a special meal or two. Lots of memories made here!"

"Location was ok, but bed was lumpy, power went out one morning and property manager was not helpful re: that. Not nearly enough parking. Also, someone arrived while I was there and there was no room for him; house had been over-booked. Can’t recommend "

"The entire house is disgustingly dirty. Very unsafe too. Few of windows have cracks, no ventilation, many windows have no openings. Bathroom door was held by screws which were loose, we had to tightened it in case fall down onto one of kids. Mattress we slept on was stained and yellow.. Location isn’t great either. For five nights stay we paid €2600. We never had such horrendous experience."

"We arrived late and our check in was easy. The next morning, after traveling for over 24 hours, we woke late for breakfast. We were told, that we could get coffee and a crossiant in the Bar. As we were explaining why we were late, a Manager overheard us, and had the Chef, "fix" us a plate. It was amazing, and honestly, set the tone for the rest of our vacation. When we return to Ireland, we will be staying at the Maldron again."

"Comfortable, clean and quiet boutique hotel with great made to order breakfast! Each room is named and the hotel does a wonderful job of mixing old world charm with new amenities. Lovely outdoor patio area to enjoy off first floor of rooms — if the weather cooperates. "

"We stayed in the Exclusive Apartment. It is beautifully appointed and very convenient for a longer stay. It is well equipped with a refrigerator, cook top and microwave. Ann and Michael are the perfect hosts. They could not have been more welcoming! The breakfast is superb with several tasty selections. Outstanding!!!! "
