We had a great stay. Perfect location of the house with it being walking distance from the beach and town restaurants. Staci was amazing and very accommodating. It was like staying at a family’s home instead of renting a strangers place.
Our stay was excellent. The kitchen had all the supplies you could need. House was clean. Check in and check out was a breeze. We had a great time exploring the UP. This is a great place to stay!
This is one of the best rental houses I and my friends have stayed in. Yes it’s an older house and has been maintained. Had lots of amenities and kitchen utensils and towels and laundry detergent etc etc. Beach is just across the street. Smaller restaurants within two blocks. Host is very quick in response to any questions. 10/10 rating!!
Stay was fantastic as usual. Great location and house is extremely family. Walking distance from beach and local restaurant. Staci was fantastic. Extremely accommodating. Felt like we were staying in a family home instead of renting from random stranger. Highly recommend the house.
My family really enjoyed our stay at your house. The neighborhood was very quiet and we liked that the lighthouse was only a couple blocks away from us. Great access to copper harbor and trails nearby. Staci was quick to answer any questions that we had at the house. We loved the history of the old house and all of the old paintings from a previous artist that once lived there. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
Stayed at the Eagle Harbor house for the 3rd time for our anniall boho trip. Although the weather didn't cooperate, we enjoyed the house as usual. Plenty of room for a group of guys, stocked kitchen for making meals, and fast streaming for those days that the lifts don't open. We walked to a nice hiking trail up Mt Baldy from the house, and enjoyed lunch and beers at Eagle Harbor Inn afterwards. Of course, if you're in the area don't miss Fitzgerald's for dinner! We're sure to be back...
This house was so perfect for our group. The kids could play games and ride scooters around the neighborhood. The beach was wonderful and right across the street. It was so convenient.
There was so much in the kitchen! It really had everything you need to cook with. We didn’t have to bring a thing! And a grill!!!
We also enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. It was just an all around nice stay!
This Eagle Harbor home is in a great location to travel around the area. It’s very clean and the kitchen and bathrooms are very well stocked—with more than just the essentials. The home is very welcoming and we loved the character of the original house and the convenience of the main floor master with its spacious en-suite bathroom. The check-in process was easy and the check-out process was equally simple and clearly stated. Our black lab, Maggie May loved the beach across the street and running in the long hallway at the house. It’s such a nice, short walk to the beautiful Eagle Harbor Lighthouse where you can view the sunrise and the sunset, as well as the Northern Lights. Staci offered excellent recommendations for dining and not-to-miss things to see and do in the area. Wonderful stay!
Talking with locals and learning about the history of Eagle Harbor and environs was the best part of our visit to the UP. People were friendly and relaxed. The rental property is well positioned to the big Lake and the town. A local told us that the property is referred to as the “Willoughby House” the former owners. Their son was an artist and many of his works are displayed throughout the house. There is a deck in back with privacy and lots of sun all day long. Nearby is a fire pit which works very well. The kitchen is very well equipped and we never lacked for the right tool or dish. Be sure to visit the monastery Jampot store 5 miles west on M26.
We spent an incredible week at this home. Everything was extremely clean and inviting. The kitchen was well-equipped with every thing you may need or want. The beds and linens were perfectly comfortable. The rooms are all spacious, yet cozy, with a lot of thoughtfut touches for travelers. We enjoyed the firepit at night and morning coffee on the sunporch, or on the back deck, with the chipmunks. The location is the perfect 'home base' for sight-seeing and visiting local attractions. The area is extraordinarily beautiful with gorgeous photo opportunities every where. The Eagle Harbor Lighthouse is right around the corner, well worth touring by day, but definitely spend some 'after dark' time on it's platform overlooking Lake Superior. We were able to get some wonderful 'pics' of the Northern Lights from there, and met some great travelers and photographers, doing the same. All-around, we just had a great time at a great Stay! Check-in and all communication with the host was easy-going and flawless. Staci provided us with alot of useful information just before our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed the local 'treats' she left for us, and checking out could not have been any easier. I highly recommend this stay to anyone considering it!
You will feel at home the minute you walk in. A huge property with 4 bedrooms. 1 in its own wing! The kitchen is the most well stocked ever with everything easily accessible and every appliance you can think of. Lots of comfy room to spread out, a sunny deck for morning coffee and a cozy fire-pit for cool evenings. Walking / biking distance to restaurants, lighthouse with observation deck to watch freighters and water, 50 steps from harbor beach where it is sunny, clean and swimming is great. You feel like you are friend’s house; it has that lived in look and feel- not messy or dirty but like a welcoming home. The master bedroom is huge with lots of windows and en suite large bathroom with walk in shower. Two bedrooms up stairs are small but cozy and 3rd bedroom is large and ready for kids room, playroom, game room. Eagle Harbor is perfect place to sta, 20 minutes to Copper Harbor and..just everything. It is quiet, super safe and peaceful. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching people and enjoyed the agate store right across the street. We can’t wait to go back.
Had a great stay. Super easy place to stay. Kitchen has lots of tools / appliances. Beds were comfortable. Lots of extra blankets. A nice welcome basket and host was super friendly and easy to communicate with.
For our two large families, this is the best place to stay. We’ve rented this property 7 or 8 years in a row, in the summer, for about a week at a time. Staci and Dieter are great hosts and we hope we can keep our summer streak alive!
This place was exactly as advertised! Nice small town feel with great views of Lake Superior! The area is beautiful and offers lots to see and do. Would love to go back to the UP some day!
Great home and location. Very relaxing stay. The house was clean and well supplied with the necessary items. Staci replied promptly to any of our questions.
Nice older home. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked full of necessities which was appreciated.Views from the home were beautiful of the lake across the street, and the lighthouse was a short walk.Close to UP attractions, such as the waterfalls and Great Sand Beach which we loved. The local whitefish was wonderful at Fitzgeralds, and the Walleye at Eagle Harbor Inn.Loved the walks with the dogs. The town was so peaceful.
There is too much to say. You need to explore the whole county. House is in a great spot next to the lighthouse.

House is old and stairs are a challenge. Carpeting needs cleaning or replaced. Some issues with maintenance but communicated that to owner i.e. door knob fell off, spiders in downstairs bathroom. Location good just down the street from beach. Eagle Harbor Inn has great food and service. It is just down the street. Love Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor.
This home has a grandparents suite with bath on the first floor, and upstairs bedrooms (3) with a bath for the younger family members. Both areas are discreet, but the family can cook and eat together in a shared space. The lighthouse and beach are very short walks away
