"Loved staying here mostly because it is on a lake that is a birding hotspot. The staff is friendly and the rooms are big. Our room had a patio overlooking the lake. Lots of birds. Scenic. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. They are remodeling so can’t wait to see the new look. Breakfast is OK. Nearby lots of restaurants and shopping and the National Park. "

"The house had patches of walls unpainted, it was missing oulet covers in both bedrooms, it was listed as having outdoor patio furniture which was not there. We left the apartment as instructed by the manual. Clean. Dishes cleaned an put away, used towles left on the bathroom floor, took the trash out. Yet they charged my insurance 500 for damages yet listed it as a deep cleaning. "

The house is spacious and has some lovely updates, while also keeping a lot of historic charm. The view of Lake Michigan is phenomenal. Chicago is even visible on a clear day. Very easy to walk down to the beach or get to hiking trails through the woods."
