"I was well looked after by the staff, who went out of their way to be helpful and booked a very reliable taxi service on my behalf. Lovely village and a good set of church bells! Would stay again."

"Average stay, and at £400 for 2 nights it was disappointing! I was surprised at earplugs being provided, but hearing a club(?) behind the hotel empty their glass bins at 1, 2, 3 and 4am both nights it became obvious why!
Room was tiny and mattress dreadfully lumpy, but bathroom was pleasant and clean.
Receptionist at check in was nice but wasn’t asked if I would like to include breakfast or use the amenities.
When I checked out I left a bag, and when I came back to collect them I was shown into a room and told to “find mine” which felt very insecure, no verification of who I was at all!
Overall, better choices in Brighton for the price point."
"Great hotel but the main reason why I reserved was because of the spa which was fully booked so we couldn’t use it. Also the garage was also full and equally we had to park elsewhere.."
"I stumbled across this hotel on Expedia.. what a find! Car parks (payable) opposite. Next to beach. Great breakfast. Comfy beds. Lovely staff... loved it! "
"Don’t book here unless you are happy with broken furniture, stained carpets with burn marks, curtains hanging off a single hook and not covering windows. A bathroom window in the shower/bath facing the street without frosting or efficient covering. Old bed, full of lumps and ridges, only fit for the rubbish tip, stale cigarette smoke wafting through passages and random pieces of furniture and hoover in the passages. Staff catnapping in “waiting area”"
"Very lovely romantic room with a slipper tub which we were not expecting! The staff are so helpful, my husband bumped his head and cut it and they gave us sticking plasters and antiseptic wipes! Husband said breakfast was wonderful. The best bit was the bed though - literally the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the pillows were like clouds - so good I even asked the hotel to let me know where they buy them and they made the effort to do that and emailed me all the details. Great customer service! Only downside is parking is not on site and the closest car park was 100 quid for 2 nights - but, that is Brighton, unfortunately. Would recommend if you don't mind spending a bit extra on a hotel. All the Hotel Du Vins are reliably luxurious. "
"Rooms are not that great, they are really budget. No fridge or closet, just beds and a small table. Bathroom was okay and well equipped. Staff was super friendly and helpful. There was no breakfast for us because we booked through this platform, even though it said it was included."
