"I stayed here for the first time back in June for a firefighting class at the college. I came back this weekend for another class and knew I wanted to stay here again. Delicious breakfast, friendly front desk staff, clean room, love this place!"

"Cozy home right on the water that feels like you are staying at a family member's home.As soon as you enter the home you can tell that this was someone's house...not just a house that was purchased for renting. I immediately felt like I was staying at a favorite aunt's house. Loved that it was right on the water with the perfect sized dock to take out the available kayaks. The 3 season porch was a great place to watch the sunset, play cards, or just relax. I appreciated the kitchen pantry with olive oil, S&P and some seasonings - made cooking our few meals much easier!For awareness, this home does have well water - not a big deal but if you aren't used to it, it might a surprise. Patti does supply drinking water (water cooler in the corner) which is a really nice touch!If you are looking for a place that is off the beaten path, relaxing, and well loved, this is place for you."

"It’s a wonderful home, well stocked and in a beautiful location. Really enjoyed our visit and definitely planning to return. Just far enough outside of Alpena if you appreciate peace and privacy. Along with gorgeous sunrises and a nice beach for swimming and exploring. Thank you so much for making this beautiful place available.Bruce and family"

"The cabin is beautiful! It was relaxing to sit and watch the deer come up to the apple trees and eat. The host was very helpful and responsive to any questions or concerns I had. We will definitely stay and recommend this place again."
