Spent a wonderful 11 nights enjoying the blessed tranquility on the water. Enjoyed paddleboarding in the channel and through the mangroves. Sunset view from the deck was breathtaking. Very easy working with Bo.
Really enjoyed large upper and lower deck. Sliding glass doors enhanced viewing pleasure. Everything we wanted!

Relaxing, comfortable and homey!!!
A great place to relax and enjoy your morning coffee on the deck and take in the magnificent sunsets over the Gulf.
Very quite and peaceful location !!!
The owner was very helpful and always responded immediately to any questions we had.
IT WAS A GREAT CHOICE ON OUR PART!!!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Cape Cay. The canoe, kayak, and paddle board were put to use everyday by the kids and parents. Owner's suggestions for bait shop, restaurant and Sun West Park were awesome. Fishing right off the back deck was convenient and fun. The included amenities definitely make this house stand above other places we have rented. The owner was great to work with and we would love to stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at this cute little 60s house. The kayaking was great through the mangroves, out to the gulf, and through the canals. We also took day trips to Busch Gardens, Tarpon Springs, Weeki Wachee Springs (including an underwater mermaid show and kayaking on the gorgeous weeki wachee river), and local restaurants. The location was wonderful, the views were great, and I would recommend this home to anyone who needs a quiet getaway with access to a lot of fun things to do.
Everything was as advertised; weather also was great. Bo the owner was great to communicate with and answered all questions asked of him. Note Bo thanks! again, for the wine it came in handy after our long drive down. Pete and Roseann
The place has everything you need for relaxing, and outdoor fun. Felt like Home immediately. Seeing Dolphins while kayaking and paddle boarding was my favorite; fishing from the deck was my husband's.
Bo is an excellent host. He promptly answered every question and offered tips for the area.
Will return for sure :)
This was my family's 2nd time here. Once again it didn't disappoint. More dolphins, more birds, more fish, more memories. If you have never rented a private house before and you are nervous about it, you can stop worrying. Bo is great. Just book and relax. The neighborhood is quiet and the sunsets are amazing. We will be back next year.
We had an amazing vacation. This is a cute older home in an amazing location. It has a gorgeous view of the gulf and the sunsets. We had so much fun exploring the mangroves in the kayaks and canoe that he has there at the house. The kids really loved the sandbar up the canal a bit and found tons of crabs (including horseshoe crabs), stingrays, jellyfish, and so much more. We caught more fish than we could count with the supplied fishing poles and tackle (get live shrimp from the bait shop right down the road). Kayaked out in the gulf and just relaxed as much as our kids would allow us to. The beds were by far the most comfortable that we have ever slept on in any vrbo, hotel, or condo. The owner was very good with communication and was available if we needed him. Also the house was well stocked with everything we needed. We are looking forward to coming back here in the future.
We enjoyed staying in this older home with Florida charm! (If you're looking for a fancy new place on the beach, this one isn't for you.) Located in a friendly, quiet neighborhood, the house is well maintained and clean, with it's own quirky style. Bo provided just about everything we needed - even fishing poles and bait (that weren't even on the list of amenities). We couldn't get the CD player to work, and there wasn't a hair dryer, but these were minor issues. The wi-fi connection wasn't what was in the check-in directions, but we easily figured it out once we looked around. We knew we could get a hold of Bo if necessary. The guest comments book is full of helpful hints, so read it sooner rather than later in your visit. The place felt private with the marsh between the house and the gulf. Saw tons of wildlife: dolphin right off the deck, manatee, crabs, fish, eagles and lots of other different birds. Kayaking was a great way to explore out to the gulf. Bo's recommendations for local eateries were spot on. Good seafood. Wonderful sunsets.
Residence was "as advertised"... My wife along with our 18 and 16 year old boys stayed for a week. Bo, the owner, reached out several times prior to our arrival, during our stay and after we left to make sure that we had everything we needed or had any questions or complaints. The sunsets were amazing from the upper deck!!! Spent several hours fishing the canal from the deck and from the kayaks with some success. Residence was within 1-1 1/2 drive to many destinations along the gulf, from a Detroit Tigers spring training game, charter fishing trip and to the beach in Clearwater. Residence was very clean and was furnished with everything that you would need for your stay. Would highly recommend.

Host Bo was right there with any concerns, and we had a ball watching all the birds. Nice place - out of the way, but with easy access to everything we needed. Close to Tampa and all that it offers.
This is a great property if you want a relaxing laidback vacation. Setting on the edge of Florida mangrove with an unobstructed view, you get to choose between fishing off the dock, kayaking off into the mangrove or Gulf, or watching the sunset while sitting around a campfire. The owner graciously provides you with all the tools. An exceptional value added. I chose to paddle into the mangroves everyday for a couple of hours during hightide to explore nature. This is an older property with a lot of character. It is well maintained and very clean, with new appliances, wifi, and great big screen TV. The beds have memory foam mattresses which made for great sleeping. The location is off the beaten track in a quiet neighborhood. It is very close to several local restaurants and watering holes. I enjoyed my stay here very much. Next time though, I'm bringing my boat!
This cottage is located in a nice quiet neighborhood in Hudson, Florida. It was quite chilly when we visited so we did not get to use the water items but the cottage has everything you need to explore the water inlet it is located on. Kayaks for adults and kids, a canoe, many life vests, fishing poles, a nice deck with chairs, a table, a small fire pit and a great western view. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need to cook: a stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven and our personal favorite a washer and dryer! Pots, pans, dishes, glasses were also available. Since it was too chilly, we opted to visit the many seafood restaurants in the area and none of them disappointed. Our favorites were Get Hooked, Inn on the Gulf both located within a couple is miles of the cottage. Rusty Bellies in Tarpon Springs was another favorite. Early morning walks were another favorite as there was little traffic in the neighborhood and the sunrises were gorgeous as were the sunsets. There are several beaches in the area but since it was pretty chilly, we just went to look at them and didn’t stay long. Bo was very helpful with any questions we had. If you are looking for a nice relaxing trip with lots to do, it’s a great place to stay.
It was prefect! It was everything one could ask for in a vacation home. My husband enjoyed most!
Everything you could want! My husband enjoyed fishing every morning, while still spending time with the family! So close to the water, kayaking and canoeing was my first and it was so much fun!!! Host were amazing to communicate with and only a phone call away if needed, answered all my questions If Hod willing will book again next Summer! Loves it!🥰
We loved our time here. The house had absolutely everything we needed. Sunsets are absolutely breathtaking, sometimes it even looks like the trees are glowing. I was hesitant to book because I love the beach and was worried having to get in a car and drive to a beach would be a bust. I was scared I would miss waking up to the sound of crashing waves.. Very dumb of me. The beaches are busy, but so many to explore. It was nice to enjoy the quietness, kick back relax watch wildlife, let the kids be kids and see parts of the gulf I've never experienced before. The manatees are a sight to behold. If you've stumbled upon this listing it's a sign you need to book it. Bo is the most gracious host we've had through these type of sites. Beds were so comfy, this trip is costing me after the vacation. Husband is set on finding a mattress like the one upstairs. It's worth it. Just take the trip.
Escaping the cold north to the sunshine and warmth was just what we needed. The deck and green space was beautiful and the wildlife was suberb. Bo was very responsive. Would stay again if its in the cards.
This vacation was exactly what we needed - relaxation, warmth, sunshine, and making great memories as a family. The fishing was great. The kids caught black drum, red drum, catfish, flounder, a baby ray, and even a crab. We loved using the kayaks, canoe, and paddle board to go through the mangroves. Bo was very helpful with any questions we had and made our stay very enjoyable! It was difficult to leave. We can't wait to go back!
A great place to unwind, relax, or be as busy as you want!
Great 10 days. Temps in the 60's so not much water playing but excellent sunsets, bird watching, spending time relaxing on the great deck. Convenient to dining options just a short distance away. Ollies was our favorite. Excellent fresh oysters. Road trips convenient if you want to go for a ride. Watched a dolphin play in the canal splashing and getting its dinner. We had a giant heron or whatever it was come and visit every day. We named him Carl. Very beautiful and friendly. He enjoyed the daily shrimp we gave him. We didn't realize it was super bowl when we booked....So our last night was watching super bowl and Tampa Bay won!!! All in all Great place for anything you need or want to do. Bo is great. Thanks for sharing your fishing tips. With some persistance we had a great fish dinner without leaving home. Would reccommend staying here.
