  • This Florida cottage is a converted shrimp house. The decor is tropical with tile floors and ceiling fans. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (shower, no tub) air conditioned cottage is well -furnished and sleeps only 2.
    The quaint cottage is on Cow Creek overlooking a small bay. Manatees, dolphins and many water fowl frequent the area. Enjoy your coffee from the waterfront seating area. Fishing is available from the attached floating dock. Mullet, jacks, snapper sheephead are in the creek. The creek is tidal and his spring feed, and that attracts the manatees. The manatees go by the cottage daily and it is a short paddle up to the springs where they hang out. If you bring your flats boat, Red fish, snook and trout fishing areas are both north and south. Grouper, grunts, hogfish and cobia are west. Coopers Bait Shop is next door. The Gulf Waters of Hudson are shallow and typically offer protection from high surf conditions, making it ideal for kayaking and canoeing.. There are many artificial and natural reefs for fishing and diving off Hudson . The creek is tidal and it is to shallow at low tide to get a boat out. The boat ramp is less than a mile away and is not constrained by the tide.
    Users of kayaks or canoes are responsible for the safety of all those in his or her craft. Operation of the kayak or canoe is solely at the operator's own risk. Paddles and life jackets are provided.

Cozy cottage on the water. Great history info on the quaint 1 bdrm getaway. Really enjoyed the canoe trip out to the Gulf of Mexico. We plan on going again and would definitely recommend for a couple looking for some alone time.

Perfect Getaway

This place was great! It was very private & peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the canal. We even saw a couple of Manatees that were heading back from the springs. Kayaking around the canal and out to the gulf was great as well! Our only regret was not staying longer!!

Great Vacation

This was such a relaxing vacation! Cottage was clean and comfy. My husband and I enjoyed the fishing from the dock. My husband enjoyed fishing on Cow Creek. Jarry and Chuck were awesome hosts and really did everything to make our stay wonderful. Definitely a place we would back to.

Nice Cottage

Great cottage with everything you could possibly need. Enjoyed our stay and the porch and deck along the water was so relaxing to sit and have our morning coffee. Why stay in a hotel when you can have a whole place to yourself with great views and it’s cheaper!

Beautiful nature on the canal

Good location for seeing several areas in Florida. You’re an hour to hour and a half away from tons of stuff to do; or you can sit and relax at the cottage on the canal and fish or take a canoe/kayak ride. A little bar with live music was walking distance away.

Great Getaway!

Cow Creek Cottage was a perfect getaway! All I wanted was some warmer weather, relaxation and fishing, and this trip did not disappoint! I highly recommend this place and I am honestly reluctant to say too many nice things because I would hate for it to get too busy for me to visit and stay again! Absolutely LOVED it!

Kayaks & Manatee

I've stayed here a few times. I love it here. Between Hudson Beach, The Lift Adventure Park, and the Manatees, I feel like I'm in heaven. Multiple kayaks are available for paddling up & down Bull Creek and manatee sightings are frequent.

Stay on Cow Creek

This was my second time there, and it was every bit as good as the first. It is a very peaceful and restful property. Just sitting on the back dock is amazing. The cottage has everything you need. The neighborhood is nice and has some nice local bars and restaurants. Had a great time hope to be back!!

Nice, relaxing getaway

This is one of my favorite getaways. Perfect for a single guy from Ohio on a working vacation trying to get a few extra days of that summer weather. I love hanging out on the dock, kayaking with the manatee, and wake-boarding at the Lift Adventure Park. I'll definitely be back.

Tranquil, yet with easy access to restaurants and shopping. Hosts were very friendly and accomidating. No need to get bored... Two large tvs, with lots of books, magazines and board games to keep you entertained.
