"I had a great short break here, the staff, the services and general standards were really good. Only downsides were the bed was two singles put together, and the spa closed at 8pm, probably should be more like 9/10pm, which I didn't expect for £360 per night, other than that I'd recommend staying here. "Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the team at Josiah's Brasserie. Sofa beds in the family room were not particularly great for older children. If we were to return we would elect for interconnecting rooms instead of a family room. "

"This was my fifth stay at the Palace Hotel, I also go to Buxton Opera House to see a show. We booked dinner and breakfast at the hotel.Check in was great, very pleasant receptionist.Our evening meal last night was lovely, great service from a pleasant waitress and the meal was very tasty! I had a good night's sleep in room 301,it has has a new bathroom suite with a lovely shower, I had no noise disturbances from other guests going into their rooms. Self service breakfast was great! I absolutely love walking down the grand staircase. It's a gorgeous hotel and I love when I get a room with a view of the Buxton hills! "
