"My childhood friends and I have been doing an annual trip together, with our families, for about five years now. This lake Anna house provided us all of the amenities that we could hope for, with a group of 14, including children ranging from 1 - 13. The sizable kitchen and dining room are great for large groups, and having a living room room upstairs and downstairs also helps create spacious and different environments. The variety of games downstairs is absolutely amazing for adults and children of all ages, and the outside area with the large pool, jacuzzi, dock, and fire pit, are all that you could hope for.My only criticism could be that the layout of the house somewhat suffers from a lack of bathrooms downstairs, with three bedrooms on the lower floor, which can accommodate up to 10 people easily, all sharing one full bathroom.The communication with the management group was fantastic; they were extremely responsive, including check-in and check out. We had a wonderful time, and if I could make one recommendation, I would say absolutely rent up pontoon boat for a couple of days, as the lake is splendid. The renter will need a boat license, or a certification (5ish hrs online), which the boat rental company can explain."

"We had a wonderful stay with three generations of our family. Check-in was easy, house was very clean, the kitchen was fully furnished, the grass was mowed and there were lots of games for all ages to play. The lake house was perfect. Everything was just as advertised and as shown in the photos."

"Great place and owner, perfect for a week on the lake especially if you love to boat! Took 8 teenagers and my 85yr old mother w me for a week at the lake and had a blast, house is open, bright and well maintained. Enough extras to keep them busy with a game room downstairs and game closet for the evenings and time spent inside. This is our 5th year coming to Lake Anna and finally found a place for a repeat visit next summer! "

"I feel like reviews have been hit or miss for this place so I wanted to leave a detailed one. The place is a great size and had plenty of space for everyone to stay. There’s actually 7 bedrooms if you count the bunkroom, which doesn’t have a door to but is great for kids to sleep. There’s 3 rooms with double beds, 3 rooms with kings, and then the bunk room with 6 twins between all the bunks. The interior of the house was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen with plenty of kitchen utensils and plates. We also really enjoyed the sun room. The basement level had a lot of little flies, but it’s Virginia in the summer and maybe that can’t be avoided. The location was great. Ideal for 4th of because of all the fireworks. The outside area was a little worse for wear. The patio furniture and deck were pretty dirty as well as some loose bricks in the front. The bbq is definitely dirty. I wouldn’t use it. But we brought our own flat top. We enjoyed the chairs down on the dock. But the fire pit and areas around it were pretty dirty. There is a water mat and some water toys in the shed down by the dock that work great after a little cleaning up. They don’t provide beach towels, so make sure you bring some. Great communication from the host. The sink wasn’t working great and she sent someone over the next day to fix it. Check in was easy. Lots of parking. Overall being on the less expensive end of large houses it was a good place to stay. Just needs some cleaning up outside. "

"For our group, Terry’s Run Getaway layout was perfect. A nice big common area for meals and activities, as well as secluded areas to retreat to for some quiet personal time. The games and water sports equipment available resulted in creating fond memories of our family’s stay on Lake Anna."

"Avoid this property at all costs. First, it is grossly misrepresented. It is advertised as a 3 bedroom. It is not. It is a 2 bedroom with a daybed tossed in a basement across from washer/dryer . It isalso a safety hazard, as they put a lock on exit door so anyone staying in basement would be trapped in a fire. The rest of the property comes with stained carpets, tape onfloor, stained furniture and broken dining table covered in plastic with matching broken chairs. Ice machine in fridge doesnt work and comeswith dirty water filter needing changed. We spent 4 days with a non working doorlock and dealt with a completely nasty owner who then threatened us with forcibly removing us from house when THEY messed up our reservation dates and sent cleaning people to harass us in leaving sooner so they could rent property to next unsuspecting people. Property claims theres a firepit( there isnt) and a BBQ grill which IS present but is broken and filthy. Absolutely ridiculous experience, and now need to contact my attorney to deal with this owner. As for the positive, its a quiet peaceful neighborhood and was clean in spite of how shabby this property is. In a nutshell, RUN."
