"Been here many times as a place to sleep when visiting relatives Sluseholmen. This time we had to change room as luckily before we unpacked, I noticed we couldn’t close the curtains (as well as the metal post that has a few coat hangers on it was missing) It was soon rectified with a new room. We always sleep well here. There’s white towels, shower gel & hairdryer. The linen is clean and fresh. It’s a basic hostel but suits our needs. I would add that they now have automatic screens to check-in at reception - my observation would be that staff should wipe the screen regularly for finger marks. "

"I recently stayed at the Scandic Sydhavnen and found it to be exactly as described. The location is about 20 minutes from the city center, but the local public transport links are excellent, and the hotel offers bike rentals which made exploring Copenhagen very easy. The room was clean and well-maintained. I was particularly impressed by the blackout curtains and the soundproofing; despite being near a road, the windows blocked the noise perfectly. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water, though I did notice the bathroom tiles are starting to show their age. Breakfast was a highlight—there was a great selection of food and the dining area is spacious enough that it never felt cramped. A very reliable choice for a Copenhagen stay!"

"Lovely lobby area and things to do for kids. Food was good and everything was very clean but the rooms were TINY! We felt very cramped as bunk beds came down from the wall and left no space to walk around. NOT a family room by any stretch of the imagination!"

"I love this place!! It's clean and well equipped. Even the cleaning woman is nice. They have a texting system with which to contact the very helpful staff 24/7. It is an easy walk or train way to hop around Copenhagen. I like the way we can have curtains open and yet have some privacy. I think the passcode system is wonderful because I tend to lose keys. Oh...and they have a laundry mat!!! It was such a gift!! Partly I don't want to praise them too much because I hope there will always be a room for me there"
