"The property is closing for renovations at the end of the season. I understood this when booking the property so I expected some issues. It was a bit dilapidated but you do not renovate a perfect property. Therefore I have NO complaints. The view was awesome. The staff was fabulous (esp. Doreen in reservations and Willis at the front desk). I hope to visit again once renovations are completed."

"We rented both sides of the cottage. The check in process was easy. The kitchens were really nice and the beds were comfy. We really did not get to enjoy the area due to baseball but the lake and area itself beautiful and very quiet."

"Place was fine- however , the private access road had 8 significant potholes. Stairs down to dock were extremely steep and overgrown with vegetation. The kitchen was the least well supplied of any rental I have ever used-- no serving platters and not even a measuring cup."

The property is conveniently located close to all the baseball venues and the village of Cooperstown. We enjoyed learning about the local history and shopping. We loved our stay there."

"We spent a week in Cooperstown for our son to play ball. The place was very clean and communication was wonderful. The home was well stocked. My only suggestions are that I would update the listing pictures to reflect how the home looks now. For example, I was expecting a brown house, but it was a dark blue. Also, there was one less chair in the living room and some furniture was in a different place than the pictures showed. Also, our biggest issue was the heat! I know it was not the norm, but we were in a heat wave during the week we stayed. The listing mentioned air conditioning, but there was only one window unit and it was not sufficient enough to cool the entire house. We ended up having to buy several fans because we could not cool off. My suggestion would be to add more window units or just update the description. I was expecting air conditioning and that isn’t exactly what we had."
