Welcome to "Cozy Oaks Cabin" in scenic Idyllwild-Pine Cove California! Originally built in 1942 as a hunting cabin, it sits high on a ridge (6340 feet elevation) in the San Jacinto Mountains. Nestled amongst majestic old oaks, towering pines, and distinctive manzanita the cabin is light and bright with morning and afternoon sunlight, evening sunsets, and amazing star-filled nights. Just a 5 minute scenic drive to the Village of Idyllwild, it is conveniently located off a paved, county maintained road, with a circular driveway. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful escape for two, come relax and unwind at Cozy Oaks Cabin.

Inside, the cabin is quaint and cozy. It has modern amenities for your convenience, while preserving the rustic and vintage charm. This includes the original front door, knotty pine walls, log beams, as well as restored wood floors. It has quality furnishings, including antiques and vintage decor, with many lighting options inside and out.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a coffee bar with a coffee maker, grinder, and single serve K-Cup brewer. Starbucks coffee beans and K-Cups are provided. Dishes, pots, pans, spices, and other useful items are provided, along with a dishwasher, microwave, stove, and washer/dryer.

The living room is open and a great place to sit back and relax while watching the 50 inch HDTV with surround sound. There is a premium cable package, Netflix, and a DVD player for your entertainment options. Wi-fi and high speed internet are also provided. Curl up on the comfortable leather couch and enjoy the wood burning stove during the colder months.

The bedroom is cozy with a comfortable queen size bed that has a new premium mattress, memory foam topper, and 650 thread count cotton sheets. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo with a granite topped vanity. A recirc pump provides instant hot water in the sink and shower. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a blow dryer are provided.

Outside there is a large front deck, side patio, and gas grill, on a spacious lot with several seating areas to enjoy the peaceful setting. Perfect for your morning coffee or enjoying a nice glass of wine. Relax on the hammock for two while watching a variety of birds, bushy tailed gray squirrels, and listening to the whispering breezes through the towering trees.

Be sure to take a short walk to Pine Cove Park for spectacular giant boulders and distant valley views, including Diamond Valley Lake. Bring the chairs provided to relax and enjoy the amazing sunsets. For those who enjoy hiking, head up the road from the cabin to the top of the ridge for awesome views of Lily Rock, dense forest, and distant views of Mt Palomar and beyond. Continue on and make a loop back to the cabin through the beautiful forest. If you hike at any of the marked trail head areas, the Adventure Pass is provided for free parking. Peaceful stay at Cozy Cabin

I spent a wonderful week at Cozy Cabin. The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. If you love cooking, the well equipped kitchen is a delight. As a special touch, the coffee bar was something to look forward to each morning! I truly loved my stay.

Great Getaway

The location for a quiet getaway was perfect. The cabin was clean and close to several hiking trails. The wood stove was an unexpected treat. We would stay here again.

The cabin was cozy, super clean, and had everything we needed—including so many toiletries! Mike and Sue were awesome with communication both before and during our stay. Perfect Anniversary Getaway

It was the perfect snowy weekend getaway. Cabin is 8 minutes from town so close enough to enjoy restaurants and shops but far enough that theres no traffic. Woodfired stove kept us plenty warm. Beautifuls views! Great hosts!

Amazing Cabin

The cabin is awesome! The owners provided all the little things that make a stay much more comfortable. The owners were very communicative and helpful. The coffee bar was a fantastic touch. I would love to stay at the cabin again!

Wonderful Retreat

The cabin was quaint and cozy with a plethora of amenities, notably the wonderfully stocked spice cabinet and cooking utensils. It truly makes for nice getaway where you can disconnect from reality and be with your loved ones. Mike & Sue are wonderful hosts. We are very likely to return.

Love this place!

We’ve stayed here twice now. It’s so cute! Everything is well thought out. My favorite part is the heater in the bathroom. The bed is perfectly firm and the kitchen is great. We cooked all our meals in the cabin. Thank you Mike and Sue!

Cozy Cabin

Honestly, one of the best rental houses we've ever stayed in. These people are HOSTS! They had everything so dialed in in this cabin. Felt like a real home. So many amenities, detailed instructions for anything you could need. Dining, activities, hikes, history, anything you could think of they've gotchu covered. Mike and Sue are the best. WE WILL BE BACK!

Great experience at a amazing cabin!

I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing getaway. The highlight was the breathtaking views the scenery was absolutely stunning. Cozy Cabin....more like Perfect Cabin

This cabin is perfect for anyone who wants to get away from the big city but still have comforts of home. It's tucked away in the mountains so it is very private. Communication was fantastic with easy to follow pictures on how to get there and where to park. There were also the cutest extra touches that just showed they really cared. If this cabin is available....don't hesitate, book it today!

Beautiful Cabin & Amazing Stay!

Cozy Oaks Cabin was a beautiful and relaxing vacation home for our trip to Idyllwild! Everything about it was perfect. The cabin has been beautifully restored, and there were so many thoughtful touches, from the coffee bar in the kitchen and the toiletries in the bathroom to the squirrel and bird feed in the yard and the provided Adventure Pass. We had a wonderful time exploring the area as well as just sitting in the yard reading and watching the wildlife. Mike and Sue are fantastic, responsive hosts, and we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway.

Wonderful Cabin

We loved staying at Cozy Oaks. The hosts thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and wonderful, which made it feel so special. Cabin was clean and even smelled nice. Lots of wildlife to see out the windows. Birds, squirrels, and we watched a bobcat walk right by the cabin! Next time we visit Idyllwild, we absolutely want to stay at Cozy Oaks again.

A Treat of a Retreat

Cozy Oaks Cabin was an absolutely wonderful experience. The charming 1940s theme was beautifully woven throughout both the interior and exterior, while still offering all the modern comforts we could ask for. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating areas, where we could relax and watch the birds, squirrels, and even rabbits feeding nearby. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The communication with the owners was top-notch, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would gladly return to this peaceful, well-appointed retreat.

Another wonderful stay at Cozy Oaks

This was our second stay at the adorable Cozy Oaks cabin, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The house is very well organized, spotlessly clean, and well stocked with many special touches and everything you need for an enjoyable getaway. We had fun watching the squirrels and birds, and after long days of hiking, cooking in the well equipped kitchen. The sun set at the perfect angle to enjoy from the comfy hammock! The e location is ideal for access to the trails and town, while providing a quiet and private retreat. Mike is an amazing host. We will be back!

Very Charming, Quaint Cabin

This is an original hunting cabin from 1942. It's very charming and quaint. The decor includes many original antiques and artifacts from the period. It is modernized enough to be comfortable with modern amenities. The level of detail in the decor is impressive and very cool. The location is quiet and gorgeous, and it is just a 5-minute drive to the center of town. The center of town is too far to walk, so bear that in mind. Some lovely hiking trails are a few minutes walk away. Mike was very communicative and accommodating. Great service! The yard is large and beautiful, with outdoor seating in the front and side of the home. Charming place!

Amazing Cozy Cabin

The cabin exceeded all our expectations and more! Mike and Sue thoughtfully left all the necessary information in the cabin, so we didn't even need to reach out to them. The abundance of antiques added a fun and charming touch to the place. The amenities, such as the well-stocked coffee bar, were incredibly generous. The queen bed was firm yet inviting, with fluffy pillows to make it even more comfortable. Exploring the various outdoor areas was a delight, and the swing hanging from a tree branch made me feel like a carefree child again. The added bonus of having feed for the birds and squirrels made our stay extra special. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning in the future.

We really enjoyed this cabin with all it's charming rusticity. The cabin was very clean and organized. The outside property is covered with century old oak and pine trees which shade the cabin most of the day. Kitchen amenities were spot on. Bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating.

We loved the property. It more than lives up to the listing. The owners were communicative, friendly and helpful. It's obvious they put a lot of effort into restoring this property and making it a perfect vacation home. The kitchen is wonderful.
