"Rooms were just okay, quite basic, very stark. The property, lobby, and restaurant were beautiful which was quite a contrast to rooms. Carpet was a bit dirty and musty smell in hallways. Pool and bar area was beautiful. Town was extremely quiet when we were there and unsure of walking around at night. Exceptional wine tour by Bambuti arranged by hotel. Overall a nice stay. "

"This hotel was a quiet osasis of calm with beautiful views and great food. The rooms were quite small but there were more than adequate lounges and outdoor areas to compensate."

"The Chef went above and beyond coming to our table to explain how he created his dishes. The food was excellent. The front desk manager took time to come to our car and help us figure out how to pay the parking since it was all in Portuguese. Saved us!"

"This is a room to remember! It is apparently new judging from the pristine condition and stylish modern amenities. The private hot tub on the patio is a welcome amenity after a long day of sightseeing and port wine tasting. The view out the windows is pastoral and inviting. Its just a short distance from the town, but its not practical to walk anywhere from here so we recommend if you have a car or are happy to use rideshares. The driveway entrance is non-descript so pics are below to help you find your way. It doesn't look like much from the driveway, but have faith! Its gorgeous right through that gate. Free private parking on the driveway. This was our favorite lodging of our entire trip and we highly recommend. "
