"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Calf’s Head, Clitheroe. We attended a wedding at a venue not far from here, so it was a great location for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the downstairs bar/dining was an asset to our stay. We both enjoyed a lovely full English the morning after with the option of fruit, cereals and yoghurts. The outdoor space here is gorgeous so would definitely recommend going here to enjoy it on a nice day. The only criticism I can give is that the...

"Stayed here as we were attending a wedding at Oulton hall and this was a short walk away. We could not fault this accommodation it was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the morning was great. I would stay here again. "

"One night stay in May 2024. The White Horse is a pub no more than 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ripon and the cathedral. The rooms are converted stables at the back of the pub. The decor is basic and a little tired but if you’re going to book somewhere like this then you mustn’t expect opulence. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay here again on a return trip to Ripon. "

"We notified Maypole Inn of our expected arrival time and Staff kindly kept the kitchen open for us as we were late arriving - Excellent evening meal and generous portions. "Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Food and drink were both great and reasonably priced for the quality. The room gorgeous but I do recommend a pair of ear buds/plugs as it is on the main street and rooms to the front do have traffic going by from early in the morning."
