  • A warm welcome to our vacation home in Ilsenburg in the Harz Mountains, right next to the national park. Our vacation homes are located in the Ilse Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in the Harz Mountains, in a completely quiet—but not isolated—setting on the outskirts of town. Right outside the vacation homes, you’ll find the wild and romantic landscape of the Hochharz National Park, with its wonderful mountain streams, steep rocky cliffs, and pristine forests.
    The 60 m² vacation apartment, with its 2 bedrooms, offers plenty of space for up to 5 people. The open-concept living area features a fully equipped solid-wood kitchen, a dining nook, and a cozy sofa area with a flat-screen TV. There is also a bathroom with a shower and toilet. From the terrace, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the adjacent high forest! Perfect for a balmy summer evening with friends and family! The spacious “Ferienhäuser am Brocken” vacation complex features a playground that’s perfect for swinging, digging, and playing soccer. We look forward to welcoming you! A wide variety of recreational activities are within walking distance of the vacation homes: a water playground, a Kneipp facility, a climbing forest, a disc golf course, and the Ilsenburg National Park Visitor Center. You can start the most popular hiking trails right from the vacation homes. Arguably the most beautiful trail up the Brocken, the “Heinrich-Heine-Weg,” follows the course of the Ilse River and runs right past our cottages.
    The historic town of Wernigerode, with its town hall and castle, is just a few minutes’ drive away. Bad Harzburg, with its treetop trail and saltwater spa; Thale, with the Hexentanzplatz and Roßtrappe; and many other excursion options invite you to explore the surrounding area.
