We really enjoyed our one night stay at Valtionhotelli. There are actually 2 parts of the hotel to stay in, either the castle or the outbuilding which can be accessed through a tunnel from the castle. The receptionist, Wenla, was as welcoming as could be and very helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate with a large variety of options. The room was pleasant with doors that opened to the outside. My only negative comments are there were no tissues in the room nor was there a phone (I guess they figure everyone has a cell phone these days!) I would highly recommend a special stay at the Valtionhotelli.

You cannot find a more beautiful hotel and the park was right outside. Breakfast was fabulous. So many choices!

The hotel looks lovely and is set in beautiful grounds but our stay could really have been better. The restaurant was unavailable the both nights we stayed there as it was booked for a private function. In addition, our room was not cleaned during our stay and the toiletries provided were rudimentary. Tea and coffee were not replenished either. I felt for the price paid, the property was not value for money.

This hotel is beautiful - from outside. It needs some serious renovation. The bathrooms are very outdated and super small. I had to request a change of rooma because of a moldy bathroom. The smell gave me an instant headache. This can’t be healthy! All the rooms I have experienced unfortunately have that old room smell. Please restore this beautiful historically valuable building!

Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Saatiin jopa myöhäinen uloskirjautuminen toive toteutettua. Parveke oli loistava bonus. Ilahduin suuresti! Jäin kuitenkin kaipaamaan parvekkeen siistintää. Kuivat puun lehdet pois parvekkeelta ja linnunkakat kaiteelta. Tulen varmasti uudelleen!

Huone, miljöö sekä aamupala oli todella hyvä. Miinusta tulee lähinnä siitä, että sattui meidän vierailulle aika hektinen viikonloppu. Nukkuminen oli todella huonoa kun oli joku disko hotellin alakerrassa ja bassonjytke oli melkoinen aina sinne klo 1:30 saakka. Sen lisäksi hotellissa oli koiria paljon takapihalla olevan näyttelypäivän vuoksi. Aulatiloissa oli jonkun verran likaisuutta sekä pari pissalänttiä huomattiin kokolattiamatossa kun menimme la-iltana saunaan/allasosastolle. Koirien läsnäolon huomasi myös aulassa sekä hississä varsinkin kun haisi koirille. Koirat myös herätti ulkona + käytävällä haukkumisellaan klo6 aamulla.
