Construction was in process across the road from hotel and the trucks that traveled the road all night that our room overlooked were very loud. No A/C so leaving windows open was a must. "Check in was seamless. We stayed in the Dependance 2 which is very new. The room was clean and spacious. The only downside was that they don’t have air conditioning or fans. Most times of the year this is fine as you can open the windows to let in the fresh mountain air, but we were there over a heat wave and it felt pretty warm at night.
Buffet breakfast is included and there are lots of options.
The location could not be better. It is surrounded by the mountains. You can walk to 3 castle ruins from the hotel parking lot. The ruins are lit up at night and so pretty. The hotel has a restaurant on site, but there are also many restaurants in neighbouring towns.
Staff are hard working and readily available.
I highly recommend the Dependance 2, and would be happy to come back again.
