"I absolutely loved this building and the owner was wonderful. She just has a lot of work to continue to build this beautiful spot. Our room was wonderful. But you need to walk up stairs to all the rooms so if you can't do that, this isn't the place for you. It's literally on the water and I liked that a lot."
"For an older building the inn is beautiful. The room we were in was very clean and comfortable vibrant. I would definitely recommend this inn to anyone."
"The hotel is in a quiet residential location. It's convenient to get to since it's close to the highway access. We stayed for 2 nights for a sporting event in Shelburne that's 30 minutes away from the place. I would recommend this place if you are near the area."

"We stayed here for the weekend for the Sea Me Run half Marathon and this place was perfect! Communication with the host was easy and efficient, and he was very accommodating when we added another person last minute. It is a huge space and all five of us had plenty of room. The bonus was how close it is to the water front. We would definitely stay here again."
"Booked this site for my daughters Grade 12 graduation gift since she loves swimming and a quiet cottage.Everything was just as advertised. Scenery is just breathtaking. Relaxing for swimmers and non swimmers. Kayaks, water boards and row boat were available to use from a very accessible dock and small rock beach. The town of Shelburne is a short distance away (just over 20mins) for groceries and quite a few eat in restaurants. Wifi was good and plenty of board games to play. The heat pump was pretty valuable too. :)Kitchen was large and the bedrooms were quite cozy. There is a fireplace as well but we never used it. Helen was very responsive and answered any questions I had very quickly. We will be back to visit soon. We had an amazing time!!"

"Great place to stay. Lots of space, my kids loved the games and my daughter especially liked the vanity in the upstairs bathroom. We had the best stay. Thank you."
"Great for a long stay and very convenient to town and other sites to visit. Property is older and a bit worn down, but had everything we needed and comfortable spots to hang out, inside and out.
Only complaint: reading and bedside lamps were useless for the nightly crossword puzzle!"
The Moose Cabin - Heimeliges Haus im Wald Nahe See

"What a fabulous place. Absolutely fantastic for a couples getaway. The cottage is modern and spacious and beautiful. The cottage location is completely private even with 2 other cottages on the property. The pleasant stroll down to the lake takes about 4-5 minutes. The lake is great. The property has a wonderful floating dock and sauna overlooking the lake. The host provides life jackets and kayaks and paddle boards to explore the lake. A huge plus was the water temperature, 100% perfect temperature. The host, Bertrand is amazing. Communication was simple and quick responses. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for time away to unwind and enjoy Nova Scotia nature. As we were sitting on the big back covered deck, the hummingbird feeder has constant action and to top off our weekend, a huge hawk landed about 10ft from us on a dead branch and decided to hang out for 15 minutes. Can you ask for much more. Thanks Bertrand for making my wife's birthday weekend truly something special and to remember."
"We ended up at Bruce House after a last-minute change of plans and I’m so glad we did! Overall, the space was clean and comfortable (the shower was especially lovely) and we were able to take advantage of the well-stocked kitchen. The back yard/patio was a great place to relax. We even had a deer and fawn stop by! Communication with the host was great and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely stay again."
