"The hotel is fine, nice breakfast. The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful - she couldn’t have gone to any more effort to make our short visit to Gothenburg more enjoyable, so thank you to her."

"A very pleasant welcome from the staff and we quickly got to our room. No the best view, but we weren't planning on spending much time there. The beds were comfortable and you had a choice of pillows if you wanted it. The bathroom was also nice with make up pads and earbuds available - but no tissues, which I would have expected. The shower was hot and powerful but because the screen was a moveable one it meant the shower leaked and soaked the floor every day. The shower head also sprayed water out the sides; not a massive issue, but a bit annoying. There was a kettle and tea/coffee and because there was a minibar, real milk! A great touch for a tea drinker like myself. There was aircon but we couldn't put it lower than 20, which meant it was very warm at night - too warm for us. We did contact reception and they helped to override the system to make it cooler, but that was a bit of a nuisance not to be able to do it ourselves. Breakfast was very varied and good quality; from hot dishes like bacon and scrambled egg, to fresh fruit, cereals and continental items. We left fully prepared for our days out after this. We didn't have any meals in the evening here, but did go to the bar and have drinks. The staff here were really friendly and in particular the English barman we met was really helpful suggesting places to visit for sightseeing and eating. The only strange thing was that when we ordered Baileys this was served by the cl (and priced that way)?!?"

"On the day of the check-in, I received an email saying there is building work and therefore there will be a breakfast bag in the morning instead of a buffet, and that there would be no compensation etc since this was planned. At no point during my booking - months prior - was there any information provided whatsoever that the hotel entrance would be a building site or that the breakfast buffet would be off. Had I known, I would have booked elsewhere, as the there were other options within the same budget, and the breakfast is what swayed me here. The room itself - the bathroom was clean, the room looked fine. The staff. Let's say if you're not a white Swede, I'd recommend going elsewhere, as you will feel the difference in treatment. Not from all staff - some were lovely. But some were consistently extremely polite and kind to white Swedes, and simply tolerating anyone else. It's a budget hotel, so all I expected was a breakfast buffet and decent staff. Got none of the first, and half of the second. So if you want a room and don't care about your breakfast or how the staff treat you, it's a good choice. "

"Very central location. Close to shops, supermarkets and public transport. Staff were very friendly, accommodative and informative. Our room was very clean and spacious but there were no coffee-making facilities. WiFi was no problem. The beds were comfortable but the sofa bed wasn't. The breakfast was not as expected. It had a limited selection of bread and pastries but a massive selection of cheese and vegetables. Scrambled eggs were undercooked, the toaster could only fit two slices of bread at the same time so there was a queue, the seating area was very small, conserves were bland and the boiled eggs were fridge-cold hence they weren't fresh and might have been boiled many days in advance for staff's convenience. Also, the times were too early. The breakfast was between 06.30-09.30 on weekdays and between 07.00-10.30 on weekends. Overall it was a good stay but the breakfast was a letdown."

"A charming place , very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. The breakfast is wonderful, you should try the waffles, so delicious. The room is so cosy and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is right in the centre of Gothenburg, 400 m from the central station. I would highly recommend this hotel. "
