"This hotel is under new ownership and management since August 2025 and they have done an extraordinary job at turning things around with the result that this hotel is truly a hidden gem that cannot be missed if you are in this part of the world. Highly recommended."

"The room at the Scott was clean and comfortable. Location was very convenient and walkable to much of what Oban has to offer. It was the only property we stayed at during our highland tour that charged for parking. The only other minor inconvenience was we had to negotiate a couple flights of stairs to get to our room."

"Good clean room with plenty of storage space and usual facilities ( tea making/ iron/ hair dryer); nice roomy en-suite and plentiful hot water. Maybe I’m a fussy health freak, but I didn’t enjoy the breakfasts—no fresh fruit, quality juice, or muesli ; the cooked options were unappealing and the bread poor. Pleased to say the spa treatments were excellent with good choices and facilities. The therapists were quietly pleasant and efficient. The staff generally were welcoming and helpful"

"Very pleasant hotel, great views, staff were really friendly and helpful, just a very comfortable place to stay, ok so some parts look a bit tired but for me it had that undefinable 'something' that I found made me want to come back."
