Welcome to Lodge 24, a charming Scandinavian-style wooden A-frame retreat nestled in the heart of nature, perched on the bank side of the picturesque Loch Oich. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of this beautifully renovated 2-bedroom lodge, offering a high standard of comfort and breathtaking views of the loch.
The accommodation entrance leads into a short hallway. The master bedroom has a 5' king bed, fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers. This bedroom has an ensuite comprising of a large shower, vanity unit, toilet and heated towel rail. Bedroom two has 2 full size single beds (6'x 3'0') with drawers underneath, a wardrobe and a small cabinet between the beds. There is a further bathroom opposite the second bedroom comprising of a shower, vanity unit, toilet and a heated towel rail.
There is an open plan fully equipped kitchen with a living area that has a TV and DVD player plus a range of DVDs for your enjoyment. The fabulous kitchen has a black worktop, glass splash backs, microwave, slim line integrated dishwasher, integrated fridge and freezer, electric oven and hob, toaster and everything else that would make preparing a meal as easy as possible. The dining area has a lovely wooden dining table and 4 chairs and is a great place to sit and enjoy a meal with wonderful views or maybe play one of the board games which can be found in the cabinet.
The lounge area is decorated with a Highland theme and comprises of 2 two seater sofas for enjoying the panoramic view whilst relaxing, a coffee table with shelf containing useful information about things in the lodge and a folder showing places of interest both near and further afield. There are also 2 Highland cow footrests loving referred to as Hamish and Hattie. The smart TV has Netflix for your convenience (own code would be required for access).
The patio door opens onto a large elevated decking area with glass frontage to enable you to fully enjoy the unobstructed views across Loch Oich and the mountains beyond. The decking has inset lighting which creates a beautiful ambience in the evening. There is also a table with 4 chairs and a BBQ. The gate and steps lead to the grass surrounding the lodge with the loch edge approximately 7 metres away. A perfect place for wild water swimming!!

Fort Augustus is a charming village 8 miles north and is the gateway to Loch Ness. It offers many places of interest and boat trips on Loch Ness itself. There are also places to eat here. For ski-ing The Nevis Range and The Cairngorms are about a 30 minute drive away.
A 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk along the Great Glen Way to the Eagle Barge signposted on A82 towards Fort William at South Laggan, a floating pub which also does meals, open from Easter to the end of October or drive 8 miles to Fort Augustus which boasts a number of eating venues including The Bothy and a Fish & Chip Shop.
For lovers of lndian food the Spice Tandoori in Fort William itself is highly recommended or Whispering Pines along the A82 towards Fort William. Both these locations offer a standard non Indian menu.
Another location which comes highly recommended by the locals if The Jaggy Thistle approximately 10 minutes from the park towards Fort Augustus which serves breakfasts and lunches. Whilst waiting for your meal you can browse the shelves stocked with various arts & crafts open Thurs - Mon until the end of May. It will then be closing for 3 months.
Alternatively directly across the Loch is The Well of the Seven Heads which does excellent takeaway breakfast style foods but closes at 1pm Mon - Fri.
