The shower dripped all night,I didnt call the maintenance number because it was so late, I put a towel under the shower to stop the noise and emailed twice, when I didnt hear from them to to technical problems on the website I was told I should have called them on the night. I had asked for a room with a bath due to the fact I had a sore back and actually told reception I would not be eating, but have a bath and go to bed. Not the service I would expect from a hotel of this standard, stayed twice, a colleague has also stayed, not again

Poor directions to the property lead to unnecessary bag hauling, but this was apparently due to a ‘missed’ email. That said the set up of the Mini Manors and planned facilities are very good

Achnagairn is a must near Inverness. The restaurant Table Manors is fabulous and staff for the lodges couldn't be more professional and kind. You have got to stay here.

The rooms are very large and the king beds are comfortable. Having a full kitchen and living area was a nice feature when travelling with friends.

Secluded private venue. Well presented
Unable to select any TV channel on our first evening. On dual headed shower, no function from main one, lever knob fell off. Faults instantly dealt with when we notified their maintainence gent. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Achnagairn is in the middle of nowhere
On arrival at 5pm we were told that the restaurant was full and as a result had to go to a local pub for dinner. Our room (Le Jaune) was a drive away from the main building on the estate. The room was tiny and there wasn't even room to unpack a suitcase - and room only big enough for one small chair so my son had to sit on the bed. In addition the room windows are low level and onto the entrance to property, so zero privacy with the curtains open. Breakfast was mediocre at best and choice of fruit was poor. Lodges are very disappointing and grossly overpriced I feel that I was misled by the website.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful! Staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. The lodges have a fully equipped kitchen, where you can bring your own groceries to cook meals if you wish to do so. Unfortunately, there was a freak heat wave that made our lodge extremely hot and uncomfortable the first night, they brought us a fan the next day and it was still hot, but not uncomfortable. I imagine in regular Scottish weather, the lodge would be amazing! Overall, it was a great stay and we will be back!

The setting is lovely, but this is not a luxurious hotel. The room was simple, there was no air-conditioning and the small windows did not permit air flow, which made the night uncomfortably hot.

Fantastic stay
Beautiful experience. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was sensational. One of the nicest meals I have ever had. The staff were outstanding from checking in to the restaurant staff, I can’t fault this place.

Lovely surroundings, nice room, but paper thin walls! I hardly got any sleep due to noise from rooms either side of me, and noise from downstairs too, I was unlucky perhaps that they were up till 12:30 and up again before 6! 😴😴

Quiet location, car required
A lovely location, with a quiet outlook. We stayed with our 9month old and enjoyed a spacious room where she could crawl around. Great comfortable bed, very large in size. Bathroom was also of a good size, excellent rainwater shower head. A car is required, as location is outside of Inverness, close enough to other small towns for supplies. Would happily stay again.

A wonderful night in a mini-lodge!
The grounds are well maintained. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The meals at the restaurant, Table Manors, were delicious and reasonable. Staff was gracious, welcoming, and attentive. A great night all around. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The main hotel is an attractive buiding, old castle extended in "arts and crafts" style. The "lodges" are less happy architecturally. Large ungainly modern blocks, plonked down in what seemed to have been old walled garden. No respect shown for character of the area. The ridiculously named lodges are sparsly and poorly furnished. Sound proofing is dreadful- you can easily hear normal converstion next door. They are very clean howevever. Staff pleasant and efficient. Dinner excellent but breakfast very poor. One of the poorest had in Scotland. Cooked food was cold , dried in and only cold plates available, .

We had an absolutely ghastly stay from start to finish. Spoilt our whole weekend. They need new reception staff. Very poorly managed. i would not recommend it and would not stay here again!! Very disappointed and it's not cheap!!

Overall an excellent place to stay, a little remote, makes it good for a short stay, it is close to Inverness, but not much to do at the hotel.....the restaurant is very good, I'd compare it to a one star Michelin restaurant for food, the service in the restaurant was good, the staff are very nice and by Scottish standards very attentive compared to other restaurants we visited in Glasgow and Edinburgh.....I would 100% recommend and return.

Well above Expectations
We booked only 2 nights, and that was our biggest regret, we should have stayed longer. If you want to enjoy inverness and its surrounding I would highly recommend booking at least 4-5 nights at the Achnagairn Estate; rent a comfortable car for road trips during the day, all of Northern Scotland is easily accessible; then at night, eat at the estate restaurant, take away some food or cook yourself, they have a fully furnished and equipped kitchen!!

Amazing location, design, helpful staff!
We asked for a roll away and they had it in our room within 30 mIns and they insisted on setting up and we had a lovely chat with staff member about where she should go when she travels to America, told her we had a spare bedroom and she can stay with us! Hope she takes us up on offer! Design of hotel was creative and the themes of the different rooms were clever and gorgeous! Would definitely stay there again!

Nice stay near Loch Ness
We had a great time at the lodges. Our room was clean and comfortable although not as large or deluxe as shown in the pictures. We thought we had paid for one of the fancier rooms with an eating area, but we had a very typical hotel room. It is an easy drive from the lodges to Loch Ness and there is a castle right next door that we unfortunately did not have time to visit but looked neat. Would stay again.
