This lovely Charles Rennie Mackintosh house is situated in Farr, just outside of Inverness. Sitting in just over an acre of ground, The Artists Cottage is located in a the foothills of the Monadliath mountains. It offers guests the chance to stay in a modern self catering holiday home which was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It is thought Mackintosh designed the Artist's Cottage, and nearby Studio, for himself and his wife Margaret Macdonald, The Cottage is an ideal choice for guests looking for something different in a tranquil and picturesque location, but only a 20 minute drive from the busy centre of Inverness.

The property has unique Charles Rennie Mackintosh design features, located over two levels, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

On the ground level an impressive entrance vestibule has a spacious cloakroom area and a WC and washhand basin. The hallway opens to an impressive stairway and dining area, both featuring unique CRM designed stained glass windows. The spacious livingroom has ample seating provided by 2 sofas, and additional 2 chairs, seated by the open fire. There are patio doors leading to a walled garden area. There is a well equipped kitchen, which also features a CRM designed stained glass window.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and peaceful countryside views.

The second double bedroom is very generously sized, with a sleigh bed, sofa and TV and desk area, with en-suite shower room. The rooms can be reconfigured on request tocater for twin beds in one of the bedrooms.
