The home is VERY spacious, well-equipped, a short drive to Portobelo and close to many recreational activities. "Here's a natural, conversational review in English: We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is beautiful, with an amazing pool overlooking both the ocean and the rainforest. Everything was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The owner even helped arrange transportation for us to a nearby island beach, which we really appreciated. The water was crystal clear and perfect for swimming. The food was also excellent. We have some dietary restrictions, but there were still plenty of delicious options for us. The fried fish was outstanding, the chicken was delicious, and the breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. We stayed in a smaller room, but it was very comfortable. There was a king-size bed for us, and our adult children each had their own separate bed. I highly recommend this place. Honestly, it’s the kind of destination where you can completely relax and never feel the need to leave the property. It was a true 100% vacation experience."

"Biggest initial impression was the smell of old oil and fish from the water. They need to clean up the mess in the water near the restaurant. Room was nice for the cost. No one showed up to provide breakfast this morning even though the sign said 8 am. So we went hungry. Left the room key on the door handle as no one showed up so we could check out. At dinner, they were out of every menu item I selected. 5th choice for dinner. Lucky, there was only one other menu item left."

" I will never stay at this place again. There was not even a fitted sheet for the bed. Toilet don’t flush. No lamps. It was like surviving on a deserted island. I live in San Carlos Panama. My friend was visiting from the United States and does not have a great impression after sleeping in a bed that sunk in. The lock on my room broke and when I left to go to neighboring businesses my personal belongings were left unsecured. The lock was fixed the night before our departure. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Money wasted. "

"This is not an apartment in Portobelo like the map indicates. It's a house about a mile outside of town and it's a bit rundown. The AC can't keep up with the heat and the entire house has a slight musty smell. I left 2 weeks ago and I still can't get the musty smell out of my CPAP machine. We left early after only 2 nights because the house was so hot and and uncomfortable. The host was great. Very friendly and responsive and he provided great information on local attractions, but he was unwilling to issue a refund for our early departure. "

"This was an incredible stay with so many lovely preparation of meals from Lucy and Jose. They were helpful and so thoughtful. We rested, relaxed, and spent leisurely days being together as a family. If only this happened more often! What a great trip. I am sad it ended so soon. Thank you to a wonderful host, Leticia, who went above and beyond helpful. "
