"Super cool spot to live out the fantasy of being a successful modern artist in a repurposed container car that has been converted into a luxurious, full service, studio apartment, decorated by top tier street artists, that puts various Western Pop Culture icons ( Pulp Fiction, Barbarella, Debbie Does Dallas, etc. ) through a distinctly South American, rainbow colored lens, with dashes of indigenous mythology pepper in throughout. Located dead in center of Valparaiso's hills, so during the day you have an unobstructed view of the ocean, and at night gaze at a completely different sea of city lights in any direction you look. Not in a tourist zone, this is a real Valparaisan neighborhood, but any where you want to visit is minutes away by car, and anything you want to eat is easily obtained via delivery apps, or their roof top bar restaurant, which offers billion dollar views of the ocean, and city. Fans of places like Lisbon, Barcelona, and Milan will dig the vibes in this hotel, and the city of Valparaiso overall."

"Mary and Yolanda were amazing hosts! They made me feel extremely welcome and did everything they could to ensure my comfort. I was promptly acquainted with the property, and the area surrounding it as well. Mary was pretty much the sweetest concierge anyone could ask for!!! Walking to the beach is such a treat with such beautiful views, and a genuinely unique energy/pace in the community. "The house we rented in Tunquen is a magical place indeed. The view right on the cliff edge can entertain you for weeks, so does the remoteness and the fact all you hear is birds and the waves of the sea. We stayed 4 nights and were grateful to have shopped in a bigger supermarket near Santiago, as there really isn’t much around there apart from some very small shops with some essentials, but for me that was all part of the charm. The house is nicely decorated and clean everywhere….apart from the kitchen. I don’t mind that the kitchen is very old, but the cupboards really need a good scrub as every handle and inside drawer/cupboard was sticky. The fact that the oven didn’t work was also a bit of a letdown, as the small replacement electric oven really is only good for some toast. There is no plug to keep the water in the sink for dishes, nor enough plates for the dishwasher….so saving water as requested is impossible really. That’s a shame and easily fixable. We were offered some extra wood twice, also bought some as we really didn’t leave much and the owners/marcella was generally very helpful. I would stay again in a heartbeat, as the place really connects you to nature as no other. "

"Glass dispensers for toiletries in the shower seems really dumb. Overall the hotel was fine. Check-in was really awkward as the young lady wanted to take me all the way to my room which felt unnecessary."

"The view of the Bay/water front was beautiful. But if you were looking for the beach you need to go further up or down the coast. The hotel is clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast was more than just coffee & bread. You had fruit, egg, sausage, pastries and so much more to eat. This area was very walkable. As you walked the city the dining options were plentiful from Pizza to Chinese to local dining. Public transportation was easily found. The only disappointing aspect of the city was the Graffiti that was everywhere. But we enjoyed our time in Valparaiso. "
