"When staying here you have to treat it like a visit to grandma’s 200 year old house. Our room was on the third floor (no elevators) with slanted ceilings and bathroom down three steps. It was quite small and didn’t have many amenities (such as body wash or a microwave) and our window was tiny. The air conditioner vent was positioned next to the bed and blew air directly on us as we slept (quite unpleasant). Additionally the door to our room does not fit properly and lets all the bright light from the hall in at night. Given that it’s a centuries old home it is quite lovely and quaint, but just don’t expect a luxury hotel experience for the money."

"The house itself is impressive, expansive, modern and clean with all necessary appliances and lovely sunsets. I took issue with the primary frying pans being in poor, unusable condition and the management company responded quickly dropping off a whole new set of aluminum cookware. However, the biggest issue was that the pool and hot tub had accumulations of dirt on the seats and at the floor just after the pool technician had been there to service it. It seemed like the tech only added chemicals to address the clarity of the water without doing the work of skimming and vacuuming the accumulated dirt at the floor. I reported this immediately to the mgt co but they were unable to get the pool technician out to address the issue during the entire week of our stay which was very disappointing. Two of the three gas tanks on site were empty so we had to volley the one gas tank between the gas grill and the firepit. After reporting this to the mgt co they dropped off an extra tank. Although the house was beautiful, it’s very expensive and the amenities kept falling short keeping me worrisome and unable to fully enjoy our vacation."

"The facility was wonderful. the location to venues on Kent Island and even to New Carrollton Train station was very convenient. The kitchen with extras for cooking, dishes, and facilities for cooking were wonderful for the family members. The separate showers and toilets made it convenient for us all. The Bedrooms were very clean, very comfortable, and the closets had a lot of space. The enclosed porch was a lot of fun to sit, read, and knit. The backyard patio with the table and seats and barbecue grill made for nice dinners outside. We loved the quiet and starry nights there. The place is simply superb."

"A large and beautiful place to stay with amazing views on the water. The fact that we could bring our furry friend made it even more enjoyable. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean with super easy check-in/check-out. The owners thought of everything with regards to this rental and they reached out to see if we needed anything but it was perfect. Would definitely come back in the future."

"There was nine of us ladies that stayed at John's fantastic home near Kent Island MD. When arriving on the property you are taken back by the beauty of the house, the grounds and than you see the pool and you know you never want to leave. We hope to be back soon. Thanks John for everything."
