"The property is beautiful and the staff are very kind. Had great recommendations from the bartender (Carson?) and really enjoyed the sauna and a walk to the beach. "
"Andrew and Alison were the perfect hosts - very welcoming, gave great insights to places to eat in Bowmore, as well as near the distilleries we were visiting. Andrew also double checked our ferry to make sure the port wasn't switched on us! Very large, comfortable room with an amazing view over Bowmore. It's very centrally located on the Island, as well as very walkable to any place in Bowmore. Breakfast both mornings were fantastic- one a full proper Scottish breakfast cooked to perfection (great coffee too!), and the second, Andrew packed us a delicious meal to go for us to go as we had an early morning Ferry to catch. We will be staying here again when we next visit Islay! "
"Wonderful place to stay in Islay. Cannot say enough good things about decor, food, cleanliness, service and quick responses. Centrally located on Islay with miles of beach nearby. Super easy from Islay airport. Close proximity however I never noticed any airport or road noise. Most relaxing stay I have had in a long time. Emma and Graeme are perfect hosts!"
"This dog-friendly cottage was overlooking the harbour and little beach. There were lovely wee touches that demomstrated that the owners cared about those staying there. One example was the detachable support handle in the bathroom for anyone requiring such support in the shower room/toilet.The cottage was immaculate and so comfortable and cosy. The village of Portnahaven was so beautiful and the people so amazingly friendly. We absolutely loved our stay and hope some day to return. We have stayed in many beautiful cottages and this one is definitely one of the best.We absolutely adored it."
