Inside, the cottage has a bright and sociable open-plan living space where the kitchen, dining area, and lounge flow together. Husabost House is thoughtfully arranged to suit a variety of guests. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom with two single beds, making it convenient for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Outside, the cottage is surrounded by a large garden where guests can enjoy the fresh Atlantic air and peaceful island setting. Directly opposite the house lies Baleshare Beach, a beautiful stretch of sand that’s perfect for morning walks, wildlife spotting, or simply taking in the breathtaking coastal views.

Just across the causeway on North Uist, visitors can explore the nature reserve at Balranald RSPB Reserve, famous for corncrakes and coastal wildlife. Further afield, day trips by small ferry can take you to the historic standing stones at Callanish Stones on Isle of Lewis, or the dramatic mountain scenery of Harris.
