"The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a great atmosphere in The Garret and family friendly. Rooms were immaculate and loved the design. The food was amazing and good choice of food was available. Thanks to staff for a great stay. Kircudbright is a great location for a stay. Lots of galleries, events and the scenery is beautiful. Locals were friendly and helpful."

"The hotel is delightfully old school. Table cloths in the large dining room and carpeted floors making for a peaceful atmosphere where one could be heard. The balcony in our spacious bedroom was a joy from where we were able to occasionally see red deer. The staff were enormously helpful in moving luggage - there are no lifts. All in all a delightful experience."

"When we arrived at the hotel it didn't look anything special from the outside. On entering into the small reception we received a very warm welcome and given some local information. We were directed to our room which was very spacious, clean and a nice outlook . The bed was very comfortable although I found the room warm but my husband slept right through the night, which is unusual for him. We opted to have dinner in the hotel and although a bit pricy we were very happy with what we ordered. A very pleasant stay and I would definitely return"
