This was a wonderful hotel, very clean, and all the staff were very professional and helpful. Spa area was clean and welcoming. It isn't walking distance to any of the main attractions but that means it is in a very calm area. Overall great hotel if you want to enjoy Istanbul and get some relaxation and quiet time.

I was VERY disappointed by this property. Hotel staff were rude and completely unhelpful. The room was unclean and looked old. Every day, housekeeping would open my balcony door allowing flies and mosquitos to fill my room, and when I complained and asked them to stop doing this, it continued. When I asked the valet attendant to help me in catching a taxi in the rain, he told me he could not help, and I was forced to walk several blocks in the rain to hail a taxi myself. When I asked for restaurant recommendations, none were given to me. The hotel has a bizarre policy of not allowing you to bring in outside food, so one night when I came back with a doner because I was tired after a long day of sightseeing, and just wanted to eat in my room, I was told I could not bring the food in, and I was forced to order something from the hotel's on-sight restaurant. I could go on and on about how disappointing this hotel is. It is NOT worthy of 4 stars. I ended up staying in another 4 star hotel in Istanbul, and it was a much better experience than this hotel. Plus, the hotel is not as close to the main sites and it claims to be. I regret spending 4 nights here.

Honestly - exceeded my expectations with the service, the room and location. I went with my wife and 2 kids (3 and 8) and honestly never felt safer, more relaxed and energised and Ottoman helped with that. Istanbul is big and I’m not a public transport kindda guy - therefore location is wise was great to grab cabs which were not too bad in terms of price.

Best hotels in 4 trips to Istanbul
Of my 4 visits to Turkey, this hotel is the best ever and I am speaking as a gold member of Expedia who spend many nights a year traveling the world. We stayed her for 3 nights, went on a trip to Cappadocia, Pamakkale and Ephesus for a few nights and then back to this property for 2 mmore nights before returning to the USA. It si a 5 - 6 stars property in my view with geat faciliteis and amenitties incuding its own Turkish baths and multiple gyms and swimming pools. The staff are the best from İmen BEZZİNA (guest relations mgr) to front desk staff (Mr. Kubilay) and bell staff such as Mr. Soner and his colleagues. Imen upgraded us to a nice suite and their staff provided us with enhanced services and best recommendations. The room (suites) are nicely furnished with best materials and the breakfasts are out of this planet.Mr. Kubiley gave us great ideas to visit th Aisan side of the city and what to do there. He also ordered the best car service possible as well as best value for us to go the airport! We eagerly look fwd to returning to this property & to recommend it to all our friends! Great public transortaion are just nearby!

Best Hotel Stay out of 5 visits to Istanbul!
Of my 4 visits to Turkey, this hotel is the best ever and I am speaking as a gold member of Expedia.com who spend many nights a year traveling the world. The pictures shown of the suits vs what you receive is diferente. I had 2 senior suits reserved and when I get to the hotel had to change one of the suits to a Jr. suit because of the balcony and was charged as a senior suit when price is less . The pictures shown in the web of the junior suits is different of what received, sleeps 5 when only have 1 double bed, this is a total unacceptable info for the reality of the suit . Both suits I stayed in had 1 bed each and we were total 7 persones, 2 persons slept on the suits beds and 5 in extra small beds, what you see in the pictures is not what I get !

Your reservation was for two senior suites, You decided upon check-in that you wanted a süite with a terrace and you were informed that it is a lower level than the suite you booked, but you decided to stay in it even though it is smaller than the suite you booked because you preferred the terrace.We apologize that you did not enjoy your stay in the suite with a terrace and we wished that you shared your dissatisfaction with us during your stay. The hotel is a dry hotel no alcohol and wasnt advertised as dry, the hotel room walls are very thin and you could hear people talking and children screaming well past midnight, every night, breakfast was poor and not upto modern day standards, the staff were excellent, rooms clean and comfortable, the view was awful, the spa area we didnt use because you have to wear a rubber hat and you cant share the sauna with your wife, there were no good restaurants inthe close area or any bars, the centre (the bazaar) the roads were closed to the south which made getting to it difficult, generally the Fatih area is not serviced well with restraunts or bars, but the people are nice and there are lots of shops and mosques

On another hand, I am really sorry that you were not satisfied with our unique location at the heart of the city which provides a great advantage to all our guests considering the proximity to major attractions of the city and the convenience of traffic-free travel with easy access to the Metro station and Tramway.We would like to note to you that we are located in the Old city of Istanbul. The whole area doesn’t serve alcohol. Our Spa and Turkish bath are separated but we have a unisex swimming pool and unisex gym.Unfortunately concerning the swimming cap issue, the rule is in place for hygiene reasons. The idea is that by wearing a swim cap you keep flakes of skin, hairs, and other dirt from your head out of the pool.'Once again thank you for your stay and I sincerely hope that we will find another opportunity to prove our impeccable service standards and create better memories. I was very impressed with this hotel. The rooms are so nice and clean. The whole hotel was extremely beautiful and clean. The AC was great during the summer. Great location. Staff was so nice. I would definitely come back. Only thing I didn’t get there was food cause it was pricy but there are many nearby affordable places to eat. Overall I loved my stay at this hotel.
