"A wonderful older property with plenty of history. Eagle Mountain House was rebuilt in the early 1900s following a fire, so do not go in expecting modern luxury. You get unique characteristics like an elevator where you have to manually open and close the double doors, though the furniture and carpets in the rooms is definitely tired and due for an update while still keeping the historic feel. The room was clean at check-in, the bed was decent, and basic amenities were covered. One practical tip: older buildings have gaps, so avoid leaving lights on. I left the bathroom light on overnight and found a cluster of tiny flies in the tub the next morning. Keeping all lights off when out or sleeping completely solved the issue for the rest of the stay. Staff was friendly, and the hotel restaurant offered a descent menu and we enjoyed our dinner and a couple of good breakfasts. The on-site golf course offers beautiful mountain views, but don't expect much from the course itself as it is not well maintained. Overall, a very nice stay and I would stay here again."

"My wife and I recently visited Jackson during our trip to New Hampshire and Maine for our 30th wedding anniversary. Our stay in Jackson could not have been better and that was due in large part to our staying at this property. From the cleanliness of the home to the amazing piece of property that is sits on, we were thoroughly impressed. The brook at the back of the property provides the perfect touch of nature in a very natural environment. The host was very quick to respond to all of our questions in planning our trip and made great recommendations for food and experiences in the area. We will certainly be back with our sons in the future. I am back to the office today and dreaming of how great our time was in Jackson."
