I didn’t want to do a review because I feel like we may have encountered unfortunate anomalies? But I kept receiving notifications. Dishwasher was broken. Repair involved ordering a part, so hand washed dishes all week. There was a fall in the tub, which had a handicapped handle to enter, but no traction/ grip on bottom of tub surface. The sliding glass door had an issue. When it rained the track filled with water & overflowed in to the floor in the master bedroom (so I had to keep drying that area, including the rug & re-washing the towels that I used for that)…. The property itself was beautiful, well located, & my family had a fun time together.
The unit is exactly as described or better. Beach access is great, as well as the beach. July 4th fireworks show by the Ritz next door was an added treat.
We love this spot at the beach! The location was perfect and the house was great! We were very comfortable and really appreciated the house provided beach chairs!
We enjoyed our Easter weekend on Amelia Island. Weather didn't cooperate, so we need to come back when it's warmer and sunny :) House was very well described and amenities were very nice. Would definitely rent again.
The house was very well equipped with everything you could need. We had a great stay. I would only recommend that they put an umbrella out on the front patio as it gets very hot and it is a great spot for morning coffee. Guests should also be aware that the beach out front allows vehicles to park there so being surrounded by big pickup trucks can harsh the mellow a bit, but if you walk a few hundred yards to the right you can avoid them.
We had the best time in Fernandina Beach and most of that was due to picking this property to stay in! I have never stayed in a cleaner or more well-appointed home! The only thing we needed for the week that the house did not have was a Keurig (which I asked about before we went down and took my own.) They even offered extra beach towels should we have needed them! Easy access to the beach, though I did forget that you can drive on the beach in Florida which was a culture shock for me the first day. But everyone was respectful of space for the most part. The community pool was a bit too warm to enjoy but the heat index was 110 when we were there so not much could be done about that. I’m sure it’s more refreshing when the temps aren’t so high. We truly enjoyed our week!
The five of us converged from Atlanta and Melbourne Beach to have a long, relaxing getaway. The place was immaculate and fully updated. The view of the ocean from the living room past the sand dunes was gorgeous and the boardwalk was just a few steps away, which made for easy back and forth access to the home.
Only little thing was the guest room queen bed, slept on by one of our group said that each time she moved in the night the bed squeaked. Maybe replacing the frame could be the key??
We highly recommend this place for its charm, TVs in every room, the views and accessibility to shopping and restaurants. Thank you for a memorable weekend! We will be back!!
We had a fabulous time! A few notes for future guests:
1. If your kids aren’t great with stairs, bring 2 baby gates. We had to keep corralling the 1 year old.
2. The AC in the beach side room works great! I mean too well. Haha. There’s a vent you can adjust.
3. The garbage disposal isn’t great so use the trash.
4. The location is perfect. I mean perfect! Super close to beach board walk. Near enough to trash can. And about 8 units away from pool.
My family (4 kids and 4 adults) had a great time! We’d definitely stay in this unit again!
We had a ladies weekend at this property and it was just right for the 6 of us. It was just the right size, just the right location and just right for all of the fun we had. We needed nothing besides food and laughs here. We would all love to stay here again, it was lovely. Owners be proud!
What a wonderful property! Very clean and newly renovated. Well stocked kitchen with utensils and cookware. Although cooktop range lightbulb is burned out. No biggie. Easy access to beach. Easy access to activities. We did standup paddle board tour, electric skateboard tour and rented bikes to ride up to Fort Clinch. Easy access to restaurants. But better make reservations. Townhouse has a few beach chairs for use. They do provide beach towels. Beds were comfortable. Not having a powder room on the main floor was a little annoying but given how narrow the floor plan is I understand why. Not a deal breaker. We would definitely rent this place again. Amelia Island is such a hidden gem. nice Florida weather without having to drive all the way down towards Miami. 5 stars!
The loft bedroom is spacious and nautical. The kitchen was well-stocked. The family room furniture was comfortable. My only feedback is that a King bed in the master bedroom would be nice, and bedside lamps on both sides of the beds in the second story bedrooms would be nice to have.
We had a great stay at this beautifully renovated condo right on the ocean just a short walk from the Ritz Carlton. A welcome basket with goodies was the perfect, thoughtful gift after a long drive. Waters, cookies, crackers, sunscreen, lotion, maps got us off to a good start. Thank-you so much! This condo is immaculately clean, and well maintained--which is saying a lot for a beach condo. We've stayed at other beach condos on resort properties in the Keys, on Captiva Island, and on Sanibel that weren't nearly as nice as this seaside gem. The views were spectacular, and the long board walk over looking turtle dens was a treat. It is a nice, quiet location, with good insulation. We could not hear our neighbors at all. We enjoyed short walks to the Ritz for lunch, and Fernandina Beach is quaint and had many good restaurants as well as "Links and Drinks" a cool concept that was a lot of family fun. This is our new "go to" spot on Amelia Island. Thanks for making every detail perfect.
This place is great and so is the beach. Having never been to the area before, there are a few things that I wish I had known. The beach is beautiful and access to it is super easy. It is right next to where the cars can get on and off though, which you may want or not care about, but good to know. Also, little things would be nice to have been included, like beach chairs and not a long "to do" list for check out. Otherwise, it was comfortable, convenient and quiet.
