Checked out the day I arrived.

This is an older low-mid income neighborhood. Not a Florida vacation Vrbo. But we left because after seeing stained bed sheets, I lifted the mattress and looked under and around the bed. We absolutely could not stay there. Bed cover on the other bed was stained. No light remote for room 2. Washer and dryer are in the outside closet, I didn’t find them to be suitable for laundry, items had been left in it when we arrived. Definitely not Vrbo ready. The back yard has lots of fire ants (the host responded she would have them taken care of). The toilets offer no privacy, doors are thin and they are very close. Carpet is ripped in a spot, back door does not lock so there is a metal bar lock instead, the couch is sunken in. Beautiful photos with a bit of an instagram filter. I certainly hope they get better cleaners and update the property.

We enjoyed being together as a family for our 2 year old grandson’s pre-birthday celebration! Jacksonville is a great town; the beach is beautiful! We enjoyed the beach each day, table games in the evenings after the baby was asleep, a few walks in the neighborhood (although one walk had to be cut short due to neighbors being very hung-ho about lighting off big fireworks in the street. ) Close to lots of grocery stores and restaurants. We grilled burgers one night; excellent takeout Thai one night… Would have loved to have an outdoor hose to rinse off more sand after each beach visit. (We tried to be really careful about the sand. ) Thanks, Kayla, for responding to all questions quickly!
