"Great location with close proximity to the beach (walking distance) and old town Fernandina Beach (short drive). Large pool with an outdoor bar area. Hotel room was very spacious and clean. Hotel staff were very friendly. Overall a great stay.
Couple of hiccups. Upon check-in, the credit card reader would not work. After trying multiple times, finally went to the adjacent terminal to put my credit card on-file for incidentals with success. This took about 15 minutes. After driving 4 hours you hope the check-in is seamless.
When we arrived into our room, we noticed there were no facecloths. Called the front desk to request them and told we have to pick them up ourselves at the desk. Again, no big issue, but if room was set-up properly before arrival, this would not have been an issue.
Final concern has to do with the tub. Very clean bathroom, which I appreciate. But the tub bottom is very slippery. Older guests need to be mindful in order to avoid falling."
