This unit in an historic home is the childhood home of the Van Zant family, including Lynyrd Skynyrd founder Ronnie Van Zant.Ronnie's former bedroom is now the living room in this unit! The epic rise to fame of the original version of Lynyrd Skynyrd was tragically cut short by a plane crash in 1977 that took Ronnie's life, and that of several other members of the band. But their music will live forever, and hopefully this house will stand as well as a living tribute to the Van Zants. Your visit will help ensure this house forever remains a part of Rock n Roll history! Fans of Lynyrd Skynyrd tell us they get goose bumps visiting this home. Lynard skynard house

Loved the house.very clean n spacious wish it was closer to the beach...very nice very clean not a bad house....close to stores walmart n restaurants...my only complaint was not on the beach but i would definitely reccomend this house for a short geaway

Nice apartment

The apartment/annex was quaint and very clean. Check in/out was very easy and we had no major issues while we were there. I will say that the listing was slightly confusing as it still has the description of the full house even though it's just the annex. I didn't realize at first booking that it was just the apartment until I re-read it the next day. It's not a big deal as the apartment was PERFECT for what we needed which was a place to hangout/sleep while in town for a concert.

Great Historic Spot!

We enjoyed our stay! The apartment is well-equipped, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had just watched the Lynard Skynard documentary. My husband is a little younger and went to Lee High School. If those walls and trees could talk! We will be back!
