"We stayed overnight one night on a trip through the area. There was confusion about checking in since we weren’t given check in info ahead and no one was at the place. There was a note and luckily the front door was unlocked so it worked out. Rooms are very nice, done in antique furnishings. Breakfast was good. The manager said she didn’t know about our dogs but we booked through Expedia and I made it known on the reservation and also selected a pet friendly room so not sure what more I could have done. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything."

"This is a perfect cabin for a couple’s getaway. Our favorite part was sitting on the back deck in the evenings with the Mountain View and enjoying the stillness and song of nature. The cabin is very comfortable and has everything you need!"

"Our stay in this delightful cabin was amazing. Lorraine could not have been a better host, and everything we needed was there. Cozy was a great word, as my son and I felt it was a home away from home. We had planned on immediatley hiking, but decided to relax at the cabin for a bit first. loved the chickens and ducks, and they did not make any noise. Will definitely be staying again."

"Absolutely loved this cabin! Wish we stayed longer. So peaceful on the back deck hearing the running water of the Rockfish River. All accommodations as described. Owner is easy to contact and provides great information."

"Location was great, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be sure to take screenshots of your check-in code before arriving as there’s spotty Wi-Fi so we couldn’t even call the host. We drove down the road until we got LTE bars on cell phone and then we could check in. Bed was comfy, shower good. Lots of privacy; didn’t hear the neighbors in the cabin next to Dripping Rock. Didn’t use the big tub. Loved the quiet location & all the fireflies. Saw lots of deer & bunnies. Arrived during the Canadian wildfire smoke so that obscured a lot of views. Be sure to visit nearby Sherando (?) Lake nearby: nice beach, outdoor shower, swim to an island, hike trails around it (no lifeguard so be attentive), campsites, picnic tables. Glad we picked it and way quieter than the massive Wintergreen resort."

"My family had a wonderful time here. The view is stunning and absolutely never got old. We had 6 adults and 2 kids and plenty of space. The pool table and arcade games kept the kids busy even on raining days and they loved scrambling on the rocks by the eagles nest. The adults loved the sauna and steam showers. The location is convenient to many awesome hikes and there’s some great restaurants and breweries in the area but be prepared to drive a bit for fresh produce. The family is already talking about going back. Definitely recommend this place."
