"We had an amazing stay at Akua Ocean View Suites. The location with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery from the terrace is simply stunning. The suite itself is cozy, modern, very clean, and surprisingly spacious. Everything felt comfortable and thoughtfully designed. One of my favorite moments was in the morning — I watched beautiful birds from the terrace, including toucans! It made the experience feel truly special and unforgettable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with incredible ocean views."

"Frank and Samay opened their beautiful home to us, and it truly felt like the ultimate therapy after a challenging year. The breathtaking views set the tone the moment we arrived, and every detail of the home was designed for relaxation and connection. The pool and hot tub were incredible, the game room kept everyone entertained, and having Chef Jose prepare meals for us in the home was such a special touch. The in-house massages made it feel like a private retreat. Most importantly, it was a place where my family was able to slow down, reconnect, and make unforgettable memories. We are deeply grateful for the experience and would return in a heartbeat."

"Have stayed here before several times and they have done and are continuing to do a lot of improvements. The entire staff from checking in , kitchen and wsit staff, grounds crew have all been very friendly and efficient. The grounds crew does a fantastic job of keeping the jungle and it's critters from literally taking over. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen just walking around and exploring the grounds. The food and beverages have all been very good. I'm staying in 1 of the 2 Tree House rooms and would higjly recommend choosing these rooms. Their balcony"s literally look over the Tarcolito stream and the jungle across the stream is alive with squaking Parrots and Macaws. Truly one of my favorite spots in Costa Rica."

"Beautiful setting and views. Lots of birds and macaws showed up in the trees and flyovers. Bare bones kitchen but only stayed one nite. Room comfortable but could use update. Nice to have AC. Dining options a short drive away. Pool was refreshing"

"We truly enjoyed our 3 weeks at Villa Fortuna in Costa Montana near the town of Tarcoles along the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica. Costa Montana is a gated community with 24/7 security. The views are breathtaking! All 3 bedrooms overlook the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest below. The drive up the mountain is not for the faint of heart. It is STEEP - a 4 wheel drive is an absolute must. The last section up to Villa Fortuna is a 22 degree grade with 3 switchbacks. If you like to walk be prepared for very steep inclines. The house is very comfortable with 3 floors, 3 large and comfortable bedrooms (with a 4th small overflow bedroom). Breakfast at the outdoor table just off the kitchen was our opportunity to see toucans/macaws. The Sonos sound system which feeds music to the pool, den or family room was excellent. The BBQ area was perfect for eat at home nights. We requested a cleaner to come in weekly and she was excellent and very affordable. The pool and patio overlooking the Pacific and rainforest below were the absolute highlight of our stay. Not everything in the write up is accurate. There is no fresh fruit on the property as stated. There are a number of typos. There is only 1 bathroom (not 2) serving two bedrooms on the third floor. The property does not have a direct sunset view - the sun sets behind the rainforest.
