"Beautiful area with a view of the beach and many walking trails, walking distance to public transport and a small square with shops and restaurants. The rooms are small but clean, there is a shared shower room, shared bathrooms, and a shared kitchen. You will need to clean up after yourself if cooking. The staff is only there in the morning but very kind and helpful. It is a good place to stay if you like hostels."

"Had a lovely stay. The hostel was spotless, quiet, and had everything I needed for a short visit. It felt safe and comfortable, and the staff were friendly throughout my stay."

"Had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Originally a prison, it has been converted into a quirky, comfortable hotel retaining many of the features. The bedrooms were cells, small but well equipped with ensuite bathrooms.
The position is slightly outside the centre of Stockholm but all the better. Situated on a lovely peaceful island within walking distance to Gamla Stan and the museums.
The breakfast is amazing with an enormous variety of choices.

"Staff tries to keep it tidy and clean. Guests are not allowed to walk on their shoes but rather leave them at the entrance inside. Slippers were provided. It’s a hostel centrally located in the main strip. Bathrooms are shared, rooms are much compact; important fo know beforehand. Shops and plenty of eateries nearby. It has acceptable standards. The only thing that ruined my impression was the next door guests who disregarded respect for silence and privacy after midnight. While there was a...

"Very modern and stylish hotel in a convenient location. We stayed for 5 nights and were able to travel easily around Stockholm and beyond. Rooms are well appointed with nice toiletries. Getting a window room is recommended as the room decor is quite dark."
"I gave this same comments directly to the Grand Hotel when they also asked for feedback:
1) despite the high nightly rates, the cost DOES NOT include the spa or buffet breakfast. Both these are highlighed prominently by the hotel, but I’m sure others like me will presume they are included. Not only are they not included, but they are a lot of money extra per day each.
2) some rooms are described as ‘courtyard or side street’. The courtyard is tiny so Inthink there is a 90% chance of getting the side street. This side street still has quite a bit of traffic, so may not be the quiet room you are anticipating. The other side of the street is an office block and the workers can see directly into your room, although net curtains are provided.
3) staff were very helpful, the hotel is spotless and in a great location.
4) We had previously stayed in a Marriott in Croatia which included buffet breakfast and spa, so it was our fault we didn’t navigate far enough into this hotel’s website to learn that these were extras at the Grand. We just assumed incorrectly that the daily rate covered them at this premium standard of hotel."
"Great place to stay great breakfast. Truly a great breakfast really really!! Laundry facilities on an easy walk to the airport across the street. Thank you! Clean, comfortable rooms. I just wish they had a mini fridge so I could have stored leftovers but other than that really great."
"I liked the hotel’s modern design and overall aesthetic. The burgers at the restaurant were delicious! However, I was disappointed that the room didn’t include a refrigerator or microwave. The room is also very small for four people, making our stay less comfortable than expected."
"We always stay here when traveling to sweden upon arrival or departure depending on our flight schedule. Always conveniently located to catch Arlanda Express or the train into town or catch our flight the next morning. The shopping nearby is also great if you need one final cardamom bun before leaving Sweden. Speaking of food, leave yourself time for breakfast in the morning…so much to choose from, including making your own fresh squeezed orange juice!
My husband even said that it was his best sleep of any hotels we stayed in during our stay!
Highly recommend!"
"There were 2 lovely women at the front desk most of the 4 days we were there. They were amazing, especially since they always had people checking in and out. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have a concierge which was frustrating. We had a record player in our room that for some reason we couldn’t figure out how to use it. The one time that two young men were at the front desk I asked them how to use it, and they said they had no idea and to ask the cleaners😖so I gave up.
After that I only went to the women to help me get a taxi or to recommend a restaurant.
Great location, great breakfast, nice bartenders and wait staff. Need to add to the snack menu at the bar (cheese and crackers, pate, fruit plate, etc)
The outdoor patio off of the bar was awesome. Terrible and limited menu at the restaurant with the other outdoor seating area."
