"My father and I had a great week at the cabin! We spent plenty of time fishing from the dock, enjoying the wildlife, and relaxing by the fireplace. The cabin was cozy, very well-equipped, and in such a peaceful setting. Roger and Elaine were such wonderful hosts, very friendly and welcoming while always respecting our privacy. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!"

"Was extremely pleased with everything about the property, the cleanliness and our reception by Mary and family. We were somewhat prepared about what we would find as we watched Maine Cabin Masters, season 9 episode 1 where we watch the restoration of the property. But seeing it in person was amazing. Words actually fail me. Mary even went so far as to have a fresh baked apple pie (and a bottle of wine) waiting on us when we arrived. Anyone staying in this area should visit the Apple Shed Kitchen and Bakery in Readfield. Everything we tried there was beyond description. Glad we don’t live closer because I would drive a hundred miles to go there. About the home. Everything was ready to move in. The kitchen was well stocked and she even had the makings for S’mores. Every dish, pot or pan you could need or want was there. Heating was no problem with an HVAC. Supplemental heating with an antique pot belly stove added a nice romantic tone. Games and DVD’s (100?) were plentiful. It was a comfortable home. Fishing gear was available as were canoes and a paddle boat. The fishing was good and listening to the loons were fantastic The outside fireplace was large and seasoned wood abundantBottom line, we highly recommend this property for your consideration. We also hope to be back in the future, but will fly in. Getting there, driving around, and heading back to Western North Carolina was about 3500 miles. But it was well worth."

"This is a lovely place that seems like new. The kitchen was very well stocked including lots of spices and coffee, etc. It wasn't warm enough for us to sit on the front porch, which we would have enjoyed. We loved having the hot tub. It's off the beaten path, and we were glad that we'd brought all the food we needed. The bed was comfortable. We recommend it as a nice getaway."

"19 of us, 3 generations, loved our vacation at this lakehouse from August 22-29. The beds were very comfortable. Our grandchildren enjoyed swimming, the kayaks and the yard. The view of the lake from the deck was beautiful. There was enough space where no one was crowded. Watching the eagles and listening to the loons added to the atmosphere. We would definitely return to this lakehouse. Thank you Shaina."
