The rooms are not clean. Spider webs everywhere. Under every surface. At 1 in the morning there was the biggest spider I have ever seen on the ceiling. I went to go kill it and the damn thing JUMPED OFF THE CEILING!!!!! My soul left my body. The next day me and my wife searched the room and that’s when we came across baby spiders and spider sacks. Not clean.

Great pet friendly stay! Complimentary bike rental was a nice surprise. Our stay included free coffee bar and breakfast, both nice. Outdoor cabana cushions needed cleaning from birds stopping there. Pool was closed for renovation, but will be nice when finished. I would stay again.

3.25ish really. First to be CLEAR this Motel style and not what you think when you think Holiday Inn. Outside entrance. Cons: SMELL. It seriously smells soooo bad. 3 nights and it never got better. See other reviews. Water even is soooo smelly. Not super clean. Stains. But I’ve seen worse. No breakfast. It says “breakfast optional” but it’s in a whole separate restaurant next door and it costs. They do have a coffee bar with the sweetest lady on the 3rd floor of hotel. The ONLY thing free is coffee. Ocean Front is not ocean view. Promise you. Ask for a view room on second floor. Overall it’s super dated. Pros: Beach and access could not be better. Bikes for free. Very sweet staff. Bed is comfy. Super quiet. Location is amazing. The grounds are so pretty and kept up. Pristine location. I would stay here again if I wanted to go and it was the only hotel with opening. It wouldn’t stop me from going, but I’d look for another place first. Oh, Pool is closed and there is construction going on FYI.

The property and amenities were nice, but the staff was unprofessional and knew very little about what was going on around the hotel and island. Their shuttle service often didn’t answer the phone, usually took 30 minutes to get us, and often couldn’t find us or dropped us off in the wrong spot. If we had our own car, the hotel experience would’ve been much better, but relying on their shuttle to get around isn’t worth it. We also booked an Oceanview room, but had a 1st floor room with huge bushes outside the window so we had no view of the ocean.

I booked an ocean view room. I did not get an ocean view room because now they are building a building there. They did not bother to move me for the 2nd night. This was a vacation for us. We did not get to see the ocean from our room because they did not give us the ocean view room we paid for!

Beautiful beachfront location. Also convenient to bike path. The premise was lovely with fire pits and sour door lounge area. We took advantage of the loaner bikes and get some great cocktails at the bar. Recommend!

What you're paying for here is budget friendly oceanfront lodging, and this hotel is located on a beautiful section of beach. Staff was friendly. Beyond that, the property shows the wear and tear of being pet friendly and beachfront ... so if you're picky there could be issues but it's a perfectly good place to stay. We enjoyed it and would consider returning.

We have enjoyed staying here a few times. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, balconies to see the ocean are great. Our stay this time was disrupted by early morning construction noise. Our bathroom needed a thorough cleaning … little handprints on the walls, behind the door existed when we arrived. No kiddos with us so?

Gorgeous beach, excellent for beach walks and bikes, quiet but plenty to do, some very nice restaurants, huge rooms. So much different than Hilton Head or the larger, more crowded islands.

Enjoyed finding sandollars on the beach. Most of the shells are very small. Room was good size though bathroom light was dim, hard to do makeup. Pretty layout inside and outside. Great location to the various places on the island. Would definitely stay here again.

The area is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, our Room was a disappointment. We paid extra $ to upgrade to a "Ocean view" Room, and tjere was no ocean view. Both garbage pails had plastic bags lying in the bottom, so we had to open the bags and put them in the garbage. The shower was DISGUSTING. Soap scum all over the glass, and the water squirted onto the ceiling. The GROSS part, was there was long blacl hair on the shower walls. Just as annoying, there was a constant "clunk" all night like water was tirning on and off. We both had a horrible sleep. We will NOT be back nor do we recommend this Hotel. It is dirty and dated.

Peaceful and Quiet
I think there is new management, I have akways loved this hotel and stay here but it was having some issues for a while, seems things are working towards being top notch, I like it because it is clean , peaceful, comfortable and off the beaten path.
