Step back into 1898 with all the comforts of modern day conveniences. 2 bedroom, one bath, with 1200 square feet of wood deck and flagstone patio overlooking the center of the Town of Jerome and the entire Verde Valley. Easy (vertical) walking distance to the center of town shops, wineries, restaurants. Great year round weather and peaceful mountain air evenings. Stay in a 127 years old house which was buried in mud and abandoned for 60 years.

The John Riordan House is the highest rentable space available in Jerome. It is located directly above the center of town with fantastic views of the town and valley below.

A full two page story of the 81 and 86 year old Riordan brothers returning to their childhood home after it was buried for over 60 years was featured in the November's 2014 issue of Arizona Highways magazine.

Because of the steep terrain and gravel roads, we do not allow motorcycles at the property. This is for safety of both our guests and our direct neighbors.

The house was so cool!!! Lot's of history in the house and the restoration did a wonderful job of making the space accurate to the times but still comfortable for staying overnight. It was the coolest place I have ever stayed. And, walking to town and back up the hill wasn't as hard as I thought it would be - we did it in the rain! Loved it.

Location has unbelievable views of the entire valley. The house is clean and very well furnished and tells the story of the house very well. The outside deck was great to watch the sunrise/sunset and the lightning in the distance. The only challenge is getting to the location. Tight turns and narrow road but not made for a larger vehicle like a truck.

Very cool property in great location!

This property was perfect for a hiking trip I went on with friends. The layout with the main house, casita, deck, porch and covered outdoor spaces is really cool and perfect for relaxing. Location is great, close to everything in West Sedona and near lots of hiking trails.

The house and its history was worth it. I loved staying there. Spent most of my time on the patios and swings, just enjoying the view. There was a bit of a mix up at check-in but Glenn was a good host and made fair accommodations given the situation. Will definitely stay again if I have the chance.

Very Cool Historic Vibe

We loved our stay...as did our friends. We weren't sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised at the quaint-ness of the Riordan House. Loved reading the story of the place and you really feel like you were living "back then". The view was amazing and we enjoyed just sitting out on the deck taking it all in. Glenn provided perfect instructions for finding and accessing the house. We would most definitely stay here again.

This house is gorgeous. The story of the restoration is amazing as is the work. The house feels like it must have felt when the Riordans lived there but with the addition of every possible comfort and modern convenience. The views are stunning. The outside space is lovely and useful. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!

AMAZING!

We have stayed at this property a couple other times and it's always awesome. This week my mom and uncle came to visit from Georgia for my son's graduation so wanted to take them on an overnight trip, decided on Jerome, and they LOVED it! Great place to experience Jerome. If you like old western towns with history Jerome definitely qualifies. Very relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic view from atop Cleopatra hill.

Historic Gem

We came for a one night stay to celebrate our daughter’s 14th birthday and to go ghost hunting. This house was absolutely magical and felt like a step into history. The kids enjoyed the whimsical swings and us adults enjoyed the fire pit. The location was absolutely perfect and a short walk into town. The host was easy to reach and responsive.
